  • Ben Q Customer Service is Horrible
Size: 27" 75Hz Pattern Name: Monitor
Had this monitor for almost an year, it started glitching out, I called Ben Q, they said cause they boast that all there monitors have a three year warranty, that because the pictures I sent them looked like it had damage it wasn't warrantied, of course i argued the point, said no there is no damage, spent almost 30 minutes having to listen to their rep tell me that most people that send in there monitors lie about whats wrong with them, long story short I will never buy a Ben Q anything ever again, their customer service is horrible! ... show more

  • Updated review, I wouldn't recommend
Size: 27" 75Hz Pattern Name: Monitor
Update: my first monitor was damaged, so this portion of my review is for the second launder I received. I find that the pictures very washed-out, too white, not too bright. There is a difference. If I put a colorful picture up on the screen it actually looks very nice. But if I'm using any program that has a white background it's just too white, too washed out. It's very hard on my eyes. I purchased this because of all the great reviews, but I cannot recommend it. I have watched videos and read reviews on how to calibrate the Monitor, and still I find that the picture is subpar. When I received this monitor it was damaged. There is a streak down the screen. I am waiting for a replacement, and we'll update my review then. Other than the damage, I find the screen to be very washed-out. I'm not sure why, as I calibrated the screen and it shouldn't be that way. It causes me eye strain. I'm hoping that the replacement will not have this issue, and again I will update the review Once it arrives. ... show more

  • The worst monitor I have ever owned - review after use for 6 months
Size: 27" 75Hz Pattern Name: Monitor
I've been purchasing monitors for the purposes of gaming and movies for over 20 years. My old monitor was 24 inches and I wanted to upgrade in size. Based on the reviews for the monitor, I felt it would be a good purchase. I was dead wrong. This is, hands down, the worst monitor I have ever owned. It is essentially crippled in low light conditions, as it cannot seems to hand smoothly going through all shades of dark greys and blacks. Furthermore, the borders of the monitor are bright, and stand out in dark scenes. Lastly, I've recently been noticing (during dark scenes) a light white band that runs horizontally across the middle upper portion of the monitor. Complete garbage. Spend a few extra bucks on a more reputable brand. ... show more

  • You'll need speakers.
Size: 24" 75Hz Pattern Name: Monitor
These are great monitors, but the speakers are really quiet. If you want any volume, buy the "AmazonBasics USB-Powered Computer Speakers" to go with this monitor. Those speakers are about $14, and they're great.

  • Died after 4 Months Backed by Shoody Support
Size: 24" 75Hz Pattern Name: Monitor
I'm happy that I bought a SquareTrade plan on this display. 4 months into using this display, I started to get green lines and white lines along the right side of the monitor. When I brought this up to BenQ, it took them almost an entire WEEK to get back to me regarding this issue just to say they would send me a new unit out, to which I THOUGHT was great. What they failed to mention to me before taking another WEEK to get back to me to continue with the RMA process is that they would only send me a new unit out if I sent this in. If you get this, get a SquareTrade warranty on this and don't bother with BenQ's. IF you get this, which I do NOT recommend you do. Good panel backed by cheap components that just are not reliable. You're best off getting another monitor at this price point. ... show more

  • Very poor quality picture
Size: 24" 75Hz Pattern Name: Monitor
There are what looks like compression artifacts even though the image looks perfectly fine on my other monitor. The color is also very unsaturated. I couldn't do anything to fix these issues even when using user settings and tinkering with saturation, contrast, brightness, gamma, etc.

  • This monitor has a very poor quality panel.
Size: 27" 75Hz Pattern Name: Monitor
My images are showing the BenQ monitor on the left side and my old ASUS (very basic) panel on the right side I don't understand these reviews, I must have received a defective monitor, or these people have never had anything else to sample from. Instantly as I turned it on I could see the faded, washed out colors. I began using it normally and also noticed the excessive motion blur. I tweaked the color settings and various menu settings for three days and I got it to the best it could be, that was on par with the LCD screens I used to have back in 2007... You have to turn the brightness all the way up, and the color only gets close to standard if you max the saturation and then the reds, yellows and greens look neon and ugly. This thing looks terrible next to my 6 year old basic ASUS TN panel monitor. It barely passes as an LED screen. I was not expecting much at this price range but this monitor still let me down. The contrast ratio was advertised higher than my 6 year old ASUS and that is not true at all. The blacks and greys are so badly washed out I can't stand looking at it. I have seen BenQ everywhere lately so I figured I would try them out finally, this is not a good first impression in the slightest. There is also major bleeding in darker images that is honestly inexcusable in any LED panel. This monitor will be returned and I will save up for something else a couple tiers up. ... show more
