It's a little wobbly, by no means a $600 unit or for a shop, but it works. I used it to cut 1/2" angled holes through 1/8" walled 4" square aluminum deck posts for recessed fasteners for my horizontal cabling. I used blocking to bolt the press down to a wooden pad and screwed a jig onto the same pad on the outbound side of the unit to hold the post at the 36° angle. The key was finding the right mill bit and my patience, and I got smooth cuts. I did not experiment with the rpm bands. This drill is exactly like Wen except color, much cheaper, made of metal, not plastic, probably made at same place Wen, and several name brand drills are made, was afraid at first it may be a cheap knock off, but took a chance and am glad I did, saved $30-$40 dollars and am very satisfied.

The motor on this unit has higher amperage than other similar options which is why I selected it. I hope it is more powerful rather than just lower efficiency. Other than that, it seems to work just fine., although the instructions could be more clear. I didn't know what the large Allen key was for until I went to level the table. ... show more

I tested it out a bit. Easy to assemble. The safety guard did arrive broken but I don't plan on using it and will just super-glue it if I do. Tested a drill hole - worked well.

THE BOLT THAT HOLDS THE AJUSTABLE TABLE TO THE NECK WOULD NOT TIGHTEN ENOUGH TO HOLD THE TABLE IN PLACE. I TIGHTENED IT HAS HARD AND TIGHT AS IT WOULD GO BEFOR BREAKING AND ITS NO WHERE NEAR TIGHT ENOUGH TO HOLD IN PLACE. IT JUST FALLS RIFHT TO THE BOTTOM. IT REALLY IS TRUE. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I'm satisfied with product, however the instruction manual has Model: DP0813ZM but the Amazon specs. show BOCHJ8ZS81. Also amazon shows 5 Gear Speed Adjustment but the owners manual no mention.
