  • only one main flaw
The notch which allows the head to tilt vertical is unfortunately fixed on the opposite side from the table-mount C-arm. This results in making it nearly impossible to get the head around far enough to hold a piece vertically, past the edge of the mount table. I did manage to do this, but this device would be a LOT better, if that notch could pivot three-hundred sixty degrees. Still, it is a pretty handy tool. I bought it for one specific purpose. I have no doubt that I will get a lot of other uses out of it, but it performed that one task I needed. So I am happy. It seems pretty solid, and I believe it will work well for me, for years to come. ... show more

This vice is not good for any type of precision work or medium to heavy duty work. The jaws are uneven so it's tough to clamp anything tightly in there without it slipping out of position the second you begin working on it. The jaws are loose and wobble and the swivel will not stay tightened so as you try to work on your project, the vice slowly begins leaning and needs to be adjusted and re-tightened every couple of minutes. I wouldn't recommend this vice to anyone that is trying to find pleasure in their process and produce fine craftsmanship in their work. It's best left to the lightest of light-duty jobs. ... show more

  • Great for light jobs
Don't expect this to let you do any significant prying or wrenching. Highly functional for lesser duty. I use it for holding small and light firearms while cleaning and maintaining. If you're doing any sort of building or pressing, or holding anything of significant weight, use a mounted bench vise.

  • Good for occasional use.
Great product for occasional use. I would not recommend this for daily use but if you intermittently need to hold something I like this becaue I can take it out, use it for 20 minutes, and then store it away for a few months before I need it again. Sturdy but this won't hold great weight but that is not what it is designed for. ... show more

  • good price but a little wobbly
kind of disappointed--easy to mount or remove--cannot tighten vise to remove wobble from jaws--vise would work well for very lightweight projects but there is too much movement if you plan to file metal or hard material precisely (I use it for guitar nuts, etc.) --also, clamping surface on jaws needs grooves filed into them for more gripping power----but still...……..pretty good deal for the low price ... show more

  • terrible vce
I've had this vice for about three yeas and have used it maybe a dozen times. It will not . sit tightly on the workbench - it moves around every time. I've tried to fix it and it is not fixable. Sadly, I have to purchase another vice, but not this one for sure.

  • It’s not a real workshop type Vice and it has a design flaw
It would not fully tighten because of a design flaw and when I tried to straighten out a metal plate it broke apart, the metal use is substandard Chinese quality

  • Handy for small jobs
Small but sturdy it works for most small to medium jobs. Worth the money.
