We had a similar one that was a little cheaply made & too small for our area, so we decided to get this one instead… better material, the fire place features so many things (it has an audio fire crackle sound!), it fits our space better, & it even has a remote. I put it together myself within a couple of hours. This TV stand with electric fireplace is absolutely perfect for my room. The cubby above the fireplace is exactly 6”. The top cubby has a cutout for a cord if need be, but you can also leave off the back piece for the top cubbies. My TV receiver has quite a few cords sticking out the back, so I left off the back strip. (There is a separate back piece that attaches behind the 2 cubbies with glass doors.) Each of the cubbies behind the glass doors has an adjustable shelf with 3 positions. It took me about 4 hrs to assemble. As someone else mentioned, you do have to pay attention to which is the front vs. back when you are attaching some parts. It is very sturdy when complete. The fireplace & boards were all packed in one box, so it was very heavy to get in the house. I was surprised the fireplace unit is only about 6-7” deep. It was very easy to set inside the unit and screw into place. My favorite part is being able to only display the flames without producing heat. You can even choose to have the “crackling” sound on or off. *Edit: I didn’t like all my puzzle books, remotes, extra cables, etc showing through the glass doors, so I applied some removable window film from Home Depot. Now I love it even more!

I love my tv stand and it was easy to assemble. Fire place crackles and comes on with remote with no problems. Plan to order another one in white. Love it.

Seems solidly made. The instructions were easy to follow. Only needed a screwdriver and provided hardware to build it. The cabinets shut very quietly. The fireplace puts out nice heat. It also has a crackling sound, which really adds to the ambiance. You can set the fireplace to where it doesn't put out heat, but is still on, as well. The shelves inside the cabinets have height options, which is very nice. Plenty of space for movies, games, and game consoles. As well as holes in the back for cords to go through. The light brown/tan color is beautiful. I am so pleased with this entertainment center!

This fireplace looks super-nice when completed, it's very hard to tell it came in a flatpack. The other reviews are correct in that it takes a few hours to assemble, but that is mostly due to the number of cam-lock fasteners and other hardware used, which speaks to its sturdiness when finished. The fit and finish of the predrilled parts is spot-on. The instructions are very clear. Have a cordless drill with a good phillips bit to speed up the process, because as I mentioned, there are ALOT of cam-lock fasteners to install. I'm a handy guy and put it together by myself and it took 3-1/2 to 4 hours. It wasn't frustrating, just time consuming. The result is great! You really can't tell it's a flatpack and you could easily believe it came from a furniture store. I do wish more thought had been put into the fireplace unit itself, such as some fake brick to make it look a bit more believable. The heat output is good, it supplements another quartz heater in our basement and does fine. I had a couple of issues which the vendor took care of promptly. The hardware is very good with soft-close hinges for the cabinet doors. Overall I recommend.

We just redid our living room, I wanted one of those cheesy fireplaces to add a bit of cozy glow. For a put together yourself piece of furniture this is just fine. We looked out in the real world for an entertainment center that was all wood and found a few we liked but we are not huge TV watchers so spending a few thousand on that did not fit with our needs so this is a great alternative. This brand had quite a few size options, which I totally appreciate. When we have parties we often remove the TV and this becomes a spot for appetizers/desserts so it gets double duty, the height and size are great for that. The fireplace is a bit cheesy and really is like a low cozy lamp. It can give off heat but where we have it is part of a bigger open space, the heat is not really noticeable unless right in front of it. Maybe when it is colder it would have a bigger impact or if it was a single room that might be beneficial. I did not purchase for this, so this is not really a big deal either way, just providing my impression. If you are counting on this as a real heat source, you might be disappointed. I do like all the fireplace features can work independently; this was not super clear when I purchased so others might appreciate knowing this. You can just work the fireplace, it has 4 glow settings. You can just have the heat, settings from 78-82 degrees. You can have them both going the same time in whatever combo you want. It has a timer so you can have it turn off whichever feature you are using. Timer choices are 1 hour increments up to 8 hours, so that can be handy if you are inclined to forget or fall asleep. The last feature which I do not recall seeing before purchase and is completely silly (IMO) is there is a crackling fire sound you can use. Both a remote control and controls on the fireplace unit. Onto assembly, this is a large heavy piece that has lots of parts. I was the third assembler, so I was there for moving and helping but I did not do a lot besides cheering on the team. I had indicated some trouble with the hinges based on other reviews, so we had a heads up on doing that. What we figured was the hinges need some nuance when screwing together. If you just up screw it together and don't take into account, some wiggle room you will have problems. It is best to not fully tighten screws on the initial assembly but to put in place, position adjust then fully screw down. There is a lot of wiggle room in getting each hinge into place and if you don't allow for small adjustments as you go, we could see how they would break. The doors work perfectly and have the soft close features you find more common in kitchen drawers so there is no slamming. For the price and its features this is a great entertainment center, I am glad we added it to our home and we more often than not do have the cheesy fireplace on for a cozy glow, and of course a place to hang stockings, LOL.
