Description

From the roughest singletrack to urban blacktop, the MX-9 Adventure Mips gets you there safely in style. We've taken our MX-9 and added even more capability with an integrated anti-fog, anti-scratch clear faceshield. The shield flips up and leaves enough room for goggles in extreme conditions, or it can be removed completely. Conversely, the adjustable visor can be removed for a stealth street look. Mips protection, Velocity Flow ventilation, and a removable, washable, anti-microbial liner round out a highly adaptable package. The Marauder Blackout colorway ships with a second dark smoke shield. Availability, certification, color, and pricing may vary per region. If outside of the USA, please check with your authorized local dealer for more information.

  • Excellent helmet with great safety technology.
Color: Matte Black Size: Large
The Bell MX-9 MIPS series is an excellent line of helmets with the latest safety technology in it and I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for this style of helmet. Sadly it did not fit my head due its shape and size. I felt like I was in between the size that I actually needed so I had to return it. I would still recommend this for people who it fits comfortably due to all the safety features. ... show more

  • Tough to beat
Color: White Size: Large
The media could not be loaded. Let me preface this with, I tried on 4-5 of the top rated helmets side by side with the Bell MX9 Adv, including the Klim Krios Pro, Shoei Hornet X2, and Arai XD4. The Arai and Klim were the first to go, due to their overall fit and function along with the price tag. Hard to justify 2-3x the cost of the bell when they aren’t even as comfortable out of the box. I quickly narrowed it down to the Shoei Hornet X2 and the Bell MX9. They fit very similarly, with the Shoei edging it out with its overall craftsmanship and quality. It truly is a work of art - but it also exceeded my needs for a dual sport helmet. For twice the cost, I made the tough decision to send it back. The bell shared so many features in terms of fit, comfort, and safety that based on craftsmanship alone, it was tough to spend the extra money. I don’t do a lot of road miles except to connect trails, and get from a to b. If I did longer highway miles, I definitely would have gone with the SNELL rated Shoei. However, the MIPS system is a great feature, and the MX9 is comfortable on the road and on the trail. I really appreciate the adaptability of a comms system like my Cardo Black. The cheek pads have integrated pouches for the headphone pieces, while the breath box leaves ample room for the microphone. The lining is super plush and comfortable, and proves to be a bit warm on longer rides, but cracking the shield every now and then helps dump the heat. The ventilation is good, albeit not as good as the other 3 helmets I listed above. The visor does catch a draft, but every helmet with a visor will. On trips where I’m spending minimal amounts of time on pavement I have a full MX helmet on, so I’m used to this and it doesn’t bother me. Overall this helmet is the best bang for the buck you can find. The additional face shields available are a great bonus. I have both the gold iridium (pictured) and dark smoke. Would suggest without hesitation to anybody looking for a solid dual sport helmet that checks all the boxes. ... show more

  • Flows a lot of air - great for hot weather riding!
I have worn Bell helmets for more than 40 years. They just seem to fit my head very well. I now split most of my time riding in two COMPLETELY different environments - the desert Southwest of the USA, and Negros Oriental in the Philippines. Hot and dry versus hot and wet. In both cases, you need a helmet that flows a lot of air to keep your head from being roasted. This helmet is the BEST I have found for doing that in these two vastly different conditions. I have TWO of these, one in each country. You can't buy Bell helmets in the Philippines, but it was definitely worth buying a second one in USA and flying there with it. Helmets there are sized and shaped for the Asian markets - not a lot of good options for Western-shaped heads. It also works with my glasses, even sunglasses worn overtop of my regular glasses. Having MIPS give me even more confidence in this helmet. An outstanding helmet value! ... show more

  • Great helmet, good construction and fits well
I bought this helmet for ATV riding and snow plowing. Riding, in general, the helmet is great. It fits very well and is true to size. Unfortunately, the cold weather kit for this size (L) is unavailable, and the visor fogs and freezes while I'm plowing. Comfort-wise, this helmet is perfect, and I have worn it for up to 6 hours at a stretch with no problems other than the stated visor issue. I recently bought a Castle X helmet with a heated visor for snow plowing since Bell doesn't make a heated visor for this helmet. ... show more

  • Good Value Adv helmet
Bell makes good helmets at reasonable prices. The MIPS technology is a plus which I also use on mountain biking helmets. The helmet is comfortable as long as your head lends itself to Bell helmets (you should try different brands to make sure). I wanted an adv helmet because of the wider field of view, goggles option, sun visor and heck, I just like the looks. The peak is fine for slower speeds but do yourself a favor and remove it for anything above 40mph. It will catch the wind like a sail and make you feel like your head is going to get whipped off. It’s not a quiet helmet. My ears are still ringing from wind noise from two days ago and convinced me to get ear protection. I think it would be great for trail riding as it has a ton of air flow, but that airflow cannot be closed on any of the vents except the main mouth vent. I’ll keep playing with it as I didn’t want to pay the ridiculous prices of the Arai and Shoei adv helmets. ... show more
