I spent a whole day getting this thing to work wirelessly at 100%, so yeah. This is a basic Bluetooth gamepad designed for Switch, hence the blue and red color scheme. It's touted as multi-platform, and is $20, so I got it to use with Retroarch on a Chromebook. If you plug it into any device with the USB-C cable, it works without a hitch, so technically it's multi-platform. I have had a serious issue getting it to connect wirelessly. It would throw up errors on my Bluetooth Manager, connect under weird names, or not show up at all... After trying everything in every combination, I found the trick, ie; Xinput mode (the most troublesome to use) requires clearing the pairing information on the gamepad. So if you want to connect it to your PC you have to do step one in the manual, then step 2-b the Xinput setup to pair and connect. The hitch is you have to do step 1 again if you pair it to another device. I suggest doing this any time you pair it to any different device, whether you have connected to it before or not. Of course, any time you want to use Xinput or Android mode, you have to hit the right button combination before powering it up to connect in that mode. ... show more

The basics: 1. It's a PC controller that works wirelessly via a USB dongle, or wired by an included USB-C to USB-A cable 2. The layout is similar to an Xbox controller 3. Connection strength when operating wirelessly has been flawless with no input lag 4. Vibration feels okay The unique: 1. Ability to adjust the joystick sensitivity (I don't see this as very important but it's there) 2. Controller comes with weights in the package (2x7g and 2x15g) that you can insert into the controller to add weight for the feel if you desire 3. There is software for the controller that can be used to access additional customization 4. Adjustable R1 and L1 buttons which can be more convenient for different games. In practice you'll forget about it 5. Extra buttons on the underside of the controller that I'm yet to find a use for but I can see how it might be useful in some games Notes: 1. I use my controller mostly for racing games, sports games, and fighting games. I can't comment on suitability for FPS games 2. If you insert the both of the weights on either side of the controller, it's rather difficult to remove them I needed tweezers, turning the controller upside down, and a bit of luck to get them out 3. Similar to #2, there is a slot in the controller to fit the USB dongle inside but I'd avoid that since it's rather annoying and inconvenient to remove 4. I haven't drained the battery so I'm not sure if it does give battery warnings before it dies ... show more

    • Just arrived fresh out the package but left directional pad inputs up as well.

The joysticks and buttons are great pro quality the only issue Im having that even with it fresh out the box, the left directional pad also hits the upward direction at the same time, tried using it for sf6 and continued to jump for most part of the match. Can this be fixed?

The Good. It feels pretty comfortable in hand. It is almost identical to my XBOX which I like. Feels like home. Works fine connected to my PC via USB without any software installed. The Bad I could never get this device to pair via Blue Tooth to my PC. This is the only BT device I have ever had an issue with. The instructions in the manual for BT pairing do nothing. Says to hold the logo button and RB button while in an off state to enter pairing mode and that the #2 ring light will flash. Nothing ever happens when you do that button combo. If you install their software to do a firmware update, you will get multiple security warnings from Microsoft because their software is not digitally signed with a public certificate (trusted.) I wasn't brave enough to run their unsigned software on my main computer. This software is what they say you need to update firmware. There is no option at all in the software to update firmware. It is effectively a 300GB software package that is effectively just a button tester that you must use with the controller. Why is a simple button tester 300GB??? Makes no sense. I will avoid this brand in the future and go for something a little more reputable. ... show more

    • Controller Is Okay, But Gamepad Assistant Is A Hassle

The controller is fine out of the box, and feels nice, but not premium. The magic with this controller, is supposed to be the customizability. I downloaded the gamepad assistant from their website, but none of the applications therein function out of the gate. The level of complication to running the software for these controllers, and other Chinese gaming products I've had my hands on, just isn't streamlined for the average US buyer. Maybe my inexperience with PC gaming could be at play, but I doubt that's it. Running programs is a fairly simple task when you find the correct one. I believe user experience is the most important factor, and not being able to utilize every feature an expensive product has to offer, is always disappointing. Nevertheless, I am currently working these issues I'm having, with the Beitong team, which I then will leave a detailed step-by-step process for others to follow. If I am satisfied or dissatisfied with the results, I will express that. As of right now, I'm not impressed. I would rather spend my money on the mainstream platforms, where everything is as streamlined as possible. Their app took me to a program called Electron, where it looks like you can write your own code for an app, to then use and run on the Electron platform. I am not a programmer. The only issue is that you have to turn it on in phone mode every time. You have to hold the B button when powering it on otherwise the phone recognizes it incorrectly and I had to reset my wireless settings to get it working again. Otherwise works just fine with no issues.
