  • Screams compactness and Quality!
Style: PA System
I really appreciate the compactness and super easy set-up, particularly the compartment for the speaker wires. It's light and small enough for one person to transport and the outer casing and speakers are constructed with durable plastic. As far as the sound is concerned and comparing similar systems, I'm very impressed with the dynamic range and the on board effects are super clean with a variety different settings. I also like the smooth feel of the knobs and EQ function as well. I recently had an outdoor party where I used my phone as an MP3 player as well as plugging in an electric guitar and two vocal microphones, everyone commented on the great tunes and sound. This unit is perfect for indoor or out door small party settings, and I wouldn't hesitate using this for small conferences and meetings where you need to get your message across. The only concern I have are the latches that secure the entire unit together, they could be more robust, however, with paying attention to this issue it won't be a problem. ... show more

  • Incredible sound for system
Style: PA System
When I first looked at this unit, I was confused by some of the other reviews. Let me tell you...it's amazing. I've been using a Fender Passport for the last 18 years and this is better in EVERY way save for 1. 1. Sound quality off the charts better...not even close. You should see the skeptical looks I get from people when I show up to do a DJ session at a school. The WHOLE middle school or High School gym can be deafening with this system if I want it to...and I still haven't ever turned it all the way up! 2. Light weight...incredibly light weight. It comes with a wired microphone, Mic cables, speaker cables and a power supply. They are PACKED in the styrofoam of the box so if you just throw away the packing you'll miss them...but they are there! I also purchased the wireless Mic as an additional option. It works amazing!!! Plug and play 3. EASY to snap together and apart. Light enough my 11 year daughter can carry it. The ONLY advantage the Passport has over this unit...the storage in the back of the Behringer ONLY has room for the wired Mic and cable. The speaker cables do NOT fit in there...I've tried and tried. No Bueno! So...$5 later I had a little drawstring backpack that I keep with the unit to carry the wireless Mic and speaker cables. WELL worth the other upgrades. And this unit is Bluetooth!!! almost HALF the price of the Passport with the same capabilites. I could NOT be happier...thank you! ... show more

  • Power to spare, Fills the room, great build quality.
Style: PA System
At the last minute, I realized I had forgotten to order a PA system, but I got lucky with this purchase. The setup was quick and easy, and the build quality is excellent. My previous system broke after a few uses, so I'm pleased with how sturdy this one feels. The sound quality is impressive, and I only had to turn the volume up to a third for it to be more than enough. I did not find out that the microphone was stored in the compartment on the back of the amp for a minute. I thought that was just a cable storage area. ... show more

  • Excellent small-venue system. Will not handle larger events...
Style: PA System
Plugged it in the first time, and it started smoking from the fan vent/smelled of electrical fire. Needed it for a party in two days, so I figured, "let's try it anyway," and waited to return it until afterward. Didn't start smoking again, and I can now compare this thing to a Yamaha Stagepas 600BT and a little experience with a Fender Passport Event. Firstly, I feel the Behringer's sound quality was better than both of the other two systems for music playback. The music was incredibly crisp and defined. The Fender and the Yamaha are on par with each other, but certainly the quality on both is still excellent - just not "stunning" like the Behringer. But I'm not convinced anyone but audiophiles would pick up on the difference at a party, if I'm being honest. The Yamaha speakers have a shocking amount of bass though. Even though it has a sub-out, you don't even feel you need it. The Behringer really lacked that bottom to it - much more of a true 'speaking conference' PA system than a music player, and if that suits your needs: great! When it comes to pushing power though, I could push the Behringer a little more than the Fender (duh, 500 watts vs 375), but both were embarrassed by the Yamaha, whose 600 watts felt double that of the Behringer (speaker size has a lot to do with this too...). It's a little crazy how much the Yamaha feels like it's in a different league. I thought the Behringer had a nice array of options for mixing and adjusting sound (even controlling the stereo volume element of each individual speaker), and certainly more than the Fender, but for my purposes, having a sub out option on the Yamaha is a huge factor, which also has a better and more user friendly controls for switching modes, balance, and reverb depending on if you're using it for speaking, music, or instrumental performance. As far as portability is concerned, let me make one thing clear: the ability of these speakers to consolidate into one unit does not make it super portable... It was heavy and awkward to carry. I think I honestly prefer Yamaha's straight up two speaker design. More manageable, even if I do lose a hand in the process. The Fender was the lightest of the three, but for good reason. I thought I would like the "one unit" design. Not as practical as I would have thought.. Make sure you get cheap speaker stands. I know all these speakers "can" sit on the floor/table, but that doesn't mean they should.. If you haven't already guessed, my ranking of these products from best to worst is Yamaha, Behringer, and Fender, with a pretty serious gap between #1 and #2/3. BUT, you pay $$$ for that gap. The Yamaha is $900, in comparison to the Behringer's $550. I took a chance on a "scratch and dent" Yamaha on Musician's Friend for $500, and it turned out just one of the back casing plastic doors was cracked, which I glued up and it is as good as new. Bottom line up front: for the money, the Behringer will serve you well in speaking or music engagements for light duty jobs: small church events, parties in a small space <100 people, or very small school/conference-type speaking engagements. But if you need to do something real....(announcing/music at sporting events, weddings, parties in a party center or hall, or big speaking engagements), take my word for it: the Yamaha is worth it. I use a 300 watt bass amp as my sub out, and with a little luck on a small gamble, the Yamaha is a monster system that I got for a similar price. ... show more

  • Buy it.
Style: PA System
I was super worried about the sound after reading some reviews. This is a great PA and it is super compact. Playing a big venue on Saturday and I have no doubts it will fill the room nicely. Still trying to figure out how to work the FX setting but when I was playing around with it, it sounded great. Very crisp. Microphone that comes with it really isn't that great, definitely use a different microphone. The sound quality with a guitar and a voice plugged directly in is fantastic. ... show more

  • Good for about 30 hours total.
Style: PA System
Made it a few months out of the warranty period of 1 year and stopped working. I used it maybe 20 times total. Sounded nice when it worked. What a piece of trash.
