This product at first glance appears cheaply built, but it is actually very sturdy. I have a very small freezer and this fits perfectly allowing me to no longer constantly go and buy ice from the store. It’s cute ice balls also very aesthetic for when we’re entertaining guests.

I purchased this item just a few days ago and so far I have made three batches of ice and saved them in the tub and I do use the scooper and it has worked out great. The ice cubes do tend to melt a little quicker since they are smaller than the average ice cube size. If you use these ice cubes in conjunction with refrigerated, cold water the ice will last much longer obviously. Is very easy to use. Make sure you do not overfill the little water reservoirs be sure to tilt that ice trays at each corner after filling with water to get rid of any excess water do not overfill and make sure you clip on the lids tightly. I love ice cold water so I have a 64oz metal water bottle. The normal ice cube trays I had were awful, simply splitting in half so half the ice was stuck in the bottom of the tray. While looking for new ones I found these round ice trays. I bought it despite knowing the corners might break from constantly opening it while cold. So far after using it every day, some times twice a day, it still hasn't broken. The ice is big enough to last a while in my water bottle. On hot, it really thirsty days, I'll have to put an extra tray of ice in because I'm redoing my water bottle more often. Usually I'll only need to put ice in once since my water bottle is well insulated and it's just running tap water over it that initially melts the ice. The storage box included is nice, even though we use the ice as soon as it's ready I rarely get to use it. It holds a good amount of ice balls. I took the little sticky hook and put it on the freezer door to hang the scoop. You could just leave it in the box but the ice can end up sticking to it. The ice looks great and I have no complaints. To prolong the life of the tray cover you can let the ice suit out a minute or 2 so it comes off easier. I hold the tray against my stomach and open it with both hands in the corner between the trays. I used to twist it first then open it. Now I just open from the middle instead of at the ends to reduce the strain on the corners. So I alternate open from the middle or opening it by the corners. I don't mind the extra ice in the top of the tray, they are small and thin bits I end up eating as I put the balls in my water bottle. I would buy an extra tray or 2 if these just to have on hand on the hot, thirsty days so I don't have to wait for the water to freeze again. ... show more

Round little ice cube balls. Love that. Overall very easy to fill and get out. The instructions are clear. It does take up needed freezer space so I don't use it all of the time.

I like these so much better than a silicone tray, to me the silicone gives the ice a funny taste when it starts to melt,I even used filtered water and it still had a chemical taste. I bought these and love them! They're a little tricky to fill,I kept spilling water out of them transferring them into the freezer but I came up with a trick that helps. I fill them up with water and then set them on top of a cutting board,then finish adding the rest of the water from a glass,pouring slowly. After they're filled I put the tops on and carry them still on the cutting board and slide them from it onto the freezer shelf. Not much water is spilled and much easier than trying to keep them steady going into the freezer :) it works really well that way. There's no funny aftertaste and the ice balls stay frozen for some time even in a drink, I'm really glad I bought these. ... show more
