Update - I can do about two manicures in a row before my nails are absolutely DESTROYED. I thought maybe the first time was a fluke because I did use it a little more frequently than I should have because it was my new toy I mean come on. Well after probably three months of letting my nails repair themselves, I tried again, and during the second polishing my nails started to become extremely brittle and fragile. Maybe if I was using this on fake nails it would be a different story, but if using on your natural nails...beware. . . . So far I’m very pleased with this kit. I’d like to note a few things. -the colors are quite a bit lighter than my screen showed (iPhone 11). That being said, I still really like the colors, but they’re definitely less maroon and more berry colored. -I thought I would wind up only using the matte top coat but I like it a lot less than I was expecting. I think this is in part because all the other polishes are shiny, so if you miss any part of your nail when applying the matte top coat, which is actually pretty easy to do, then it’s extremely noticeable where parts of it are shiny and not matte. You could fix it easily but I’m not really trying to use more coats and put my hand under the light more than I have to. -the color polishes are pretty sheer and for best outcome would require 3 coats. The photo shows 2 coats, because I just didn’t want to end up with 5 coats of polish between base, color, and top. They still turned out okay with just two coats but I can tell where it’s still a bit thin, I doubt anyone else would really notice though. -on occasion it is really painful when first putting your hand under the light, especially with the base and top coats. It goes away after a few seconds but I’ve yanked my hand out in response a couple times because my nail beds felt like they were sizzling 🔥 Probably not the safest way to do your manicure but it’s an awful lot easier and lasts way longer than regular polish so 🤷🏼♀️ Overall, I’m very satisfied with this purchase. It seems like it was well worth the money and I look forward to trying out more of their polish sets. One week later - polish is still in excellent condition in my opinion. I’m sure it will last for quite some time but I’m anxious to redo my nails so I’ll be removing it soon. Definitely satisfied with the longevity of the product.

The media could not be loaded. This kit is nice and affordable. It’s good for beginners and a good kit for wanting to do your own nails at home to save some money, but my lamp started flickering and I’ve only had it for about a month. You get what you paid for but good thing it is affordable. The extra tools are an added bonus, I like how neatly packaged everything came! It doesn’t take up much space either as you can store everything in the same box that it gets delivered in.

My first time using, I did find it a bit more challenging than regular polish but that is to be expected. I was really impressed with the quality of this kit for the money. I have gone back to gel after nearly ruining my nails at salons as they use electric files and burn up my nail beds, my last visit was the last straw as i feel they just dont take care and realize theres a human attachednto those finders and drilling a nail file into the nail bed burns and hurts you! Hello... They are thin and brittle right now and I came across a utube channel for a batural salon that recommended gel to protect the nail while your nails grow out 6-8 week and allow them to heal. I have a really bad nail biting habit and when they grow out they tendtoo break. I have had mixed feelings about gel in the past but I thought this polish went on evenly and cured well with the light. I also thought the color was true to the description and so far hasn't chipped. I work in physical therapy and wash my hands a million times a day and use oil based lotions so I will be testing out and update my review. Great color selection and the kit came with many higher quality tools. I also LOVED the buffer file that came with, was perfect on my natural nails that are very thin and fragile right now...will be ordering more colors if this polish lasts more than a week. The only thing this kit didn't include was a primer which in my experience is a must on natural nails to get your base to stick. I didn't use the base or top coats included so I can't speak to their quality I like to use the venalisa brand because it doesn't scratch like others I've used, but based on the quality of the color I'm open to trying the beetle brand that came in the kit. It feels a little thicker but will go on evenly, just do two coats and make sure your first coat is thinner. Base coats should also be thin so they completely dry before adding the next layer of polish.
