Description

"The aroma of a great beer is released as the bubbles in the head pop. In a normally poured beer, once the initial head is gone you lose most of this all- important aroma. The new Sonic Foamer is both fun and useful. It uses an invisible, ultrasonic sound wave to create the ideal sized bubbles for a remarkably long lasting and creamy head. It also allows you to use it multiple times on one beer. This means you can actively manage your beer head throughout the entire drinking process to maintain the best taste possible. It is also fun and impressive to use. It is like a magic trick. You set the beer on top, push the button and a new head seems to appear from nowhere. Your beer drinking friends will love it! "

  • Just buy it, it’s neat and it works
In a nutshell: YES it does work! I have no idea why some are saying there does not. I’ve purchased 8 of these for gifts. There currently $3 and change a piece. It requires $7.50 in AA batteries lol which is the downfall. I never read the instructions and got it to work within a min. There are 2 buttons and it’s not brain science. Once you press a button it starts to fizz up. I would say all the device seems to do is flatten the beer, which in return to me makes it taste like draft. Cool for $3 every time ... show more

  • It…foams beer
It definitely foams your beer. Can’t say I see any difference in taste. Could probably just pour the beer too fast for free…

  • works as advertised great for the price
This little device is cool. For the price, all of my beer drinking friends will have one. warning though, if you do a cold bottle of beer, still in the bottle, it will freeze LOl, it was cool to watch though

  • Good idea, no foam
The media could not be loaded. The idea was great, but make very few foam, even in a thin base glass.

  • Nice but not practical
My husband and I definitely notice a difference in the beer after using this - it makes the beer almost a little creamier. I think this is great for darker beers, maybe less so than IPAs and pilsners that you wouldn't want that. It also made a disappointing porter better. The power switch is on the bottom which is annoying because it takes 6 batteries so you don't want to just leave it on for an evening of beer drinking. ... show more

  • but the beer defintely does taste better. highly recommend it
The media could not be loaded. As a female craft beer fanatic i know the importance of foam. The foam gives you the smell and from the smell you get the taste. Its interesting how in the US were taught to pour beer without the foam, yet that's exactly how we miss out on experiencing the real taste of beer. A friend of mine (who's actually not a beer fan) sent me a link to a YouTube video she saw with some guys reviewing the Sonic foamer and after taking a look at it I thought I would try it out. I bought one for myself and one as a gift for my boyfriend and gotta say the thing does what it says. Here's the link: [...] I think the important thing when trying out this product is getting the right beer. If the beer doesn't foam- its not the product, its the beer. I'm no expert on beer chemistry, but the capacity of the beer to foam depends on the beer- not the product. Sometimes it may even be that the chemistry of the particular bottle of beer is off or weird, and the beer doesn't foam. And that's the excitement! Is the Sonic Foamer gonna foam the hell outta the beer or is it barely gonna foam at all? And the other thing (the major thing!) is the taste! Try the beer before foaming it and try it after. After foaming it, theres less carbonation and more flavor. The foam totally brings out the flavor that wasn't as strong as before. i mean, its not overpowering, but the beer defintely does taste better. highly recommend it! ... show more

  • This beverage is amazing when served on draft
I first saw this device years ago in an airport bar, and vowed that I too would someday own one. Now, I own two! I purchased this for one particular beer. I don't know if Amazon will let me give away brand names, so suffice it to say that it's a stout made by the brewery at St. James's Gate, Dublin, Ireland (and they've been making it since 1759). This beverage is amazing when served on draft, but no matter what they've tried, it's just not the same from a bottle or can. With this, it is! Within a couple of seconds of pushing the button, I had a beautiful heavy head, and the color of the stout had changed from black to brown (with bubbles going down, not up). That is EXACTLY what a draft pour of this beer does, and I'm now in stout heaven! I haven't tried it with any other beer. This is what I wanted it for, and it works perfectly. Pros: Makes my bottled stout look and taste exactly like it was draft poured. Makes my soul weep with joy. Cons: The color changing LED light doesn't make it fly. There's no power adapter (it uses 6 "AA" batteries). ... show more

  • Only works for lighter beers
I got this for my boyfriend, we tried it on a Christmas ale immediately, super excited to use it, and we were hitting the button a million times, came back to read the reviews to make sure it wasn't broken - hopeful it will work on lighter beers like pilsners and IPAs like in the video, if you drink mostly stouts and lagers maybe steer clear.. ... show more
