Pro:The tools are sturdy and easy to use with the hive. Very nice set and helpful with my new bees. Con:There were no instructions with this set. I am a newbie keeper and have no idea what some items are, how to use them or what they are used for. Picture added. The net strap was frayed and coming off/broken but it can still be used until I get another one. It is a small head net and the gloves were xl (these will be my husbands) I ordered another pair my size. The smoker top came open a few times while holding it. The finger holder bent as I tried to put the top back on tight. But over all this is a nice starter set for the price. The hand tools make it worth buying. ... show more

    • Gloves don't work!
Everything else in this kit is quite nice. The hat is sketchy sometimes. The gloves on the third use though... I was stung by my bees 15 times on my hands. My left hand was super swollen, I looked like the Michelin Tire man.

It’s a nice starter kit for beginners. I ordered this one because of the selection of tool and extra gloves with veil. Just in case I need someone help there is minimum protection.

There were all kinds of bee keeping items in this box. Most of which I didn’t know even existed! However, my son-in-law knew all about them. He was thrilled! He went over each item and explained how it was going to be used. He loved his birthday gift…therefore, I loved it, too!

    • Lots of stuff in the box. The hat and gloves are small.
I wear a 23.25 hat with is usually "large" or about a US Hat size of 7 3/8 or just smaller than 7 1/2. The veiled hat it this box is WAY too small for me. It just sorta sites precariously up on top of my head. I am an average size man and normally wear a "large" glove with plenty of room but these gloves are very tight. There is a lot in the box and I think there is probably good value here if you know what everything is and how to use it. There are no labeling or instructions for anything and I am just starting my beekeeping journey so more than half of it I have no idea what it is or how I will use it. ... show more

    • Small hat xxl gloves???
For the price, you get a lot of supplies. Gloves are too big, hat is too small., but will possibly still work. The gloves are unfortunately an xxl and will be useless to me. I ordered a child size pair and gloves so my daughter have the hat. I ordered a separate bee smock and will have to get small gloves. Overall, decent kit.
