We washed it immediately upon receiving and put on the bed directly out of the dryer. It fits great, looks good and feels well made. We cant wait to sleep on it tonight. So let me start by saying if you frequently wash your mattress cover like I do, this may be a good choice. It is not the old cheap terry cloth covers so it looks nice, but because it really is NOT fluffy in spite of the advertised photos, you can machine wash it, and it will dry by the next day. I actually threw mine in the dryer on air fluff to speed that process up. However, It is not even water resistant so if that is important, this is not the one for you. We received this mattress pad yesterday and honestly I am not impressed. We purchased it because we wanted a little more "cush" as our new Serta 3000 mattress just doesn't have the kind of "memory" that we expected so doesn't contour as well as expected. We didn't want to go with a topper over a $4000 mattress and may in fact return this mattress. It is advertised as plush and cooler. In our experience this pad is neither. Is has SOME padding, but not enough to make any difference in the softness. Also, instead of providng "cooling" as advertised it was hotter, taking away some of the cooling properties of the mattress itself. Will we return it? I don't know. I think I'm more likely to return the mattress, but IMO this pad doesn't do what we wanted it to do to improve comfort or coolness. ... show more
