This is honestly the best mattress pad cover I have ever felt and owned. I started with one for my own King bed and it is like sleeping on pillows, so unbelievably comfortable. My sleep score went up from low 70s to the high 80s. Then I bought two more for my kids beds and they told me they don't want to get out of bed in the morning ( yes, I know, good and bad, right? ). Next, I bought one for my mom's bed and she loves it too. So the first "extremely soft and comfy mattress pad" I ordered was pretty much a thick sheet with top stitching. Yes, it rested out of the vacuum sealed package. Nope no change, maybe because it really didn't need to be vacuumed sealed, Haha! I should have known, since a lot of the reviews talked about how comfortable the "sheets" were and didn't wrinkle. What? I couldn't send it back fast enough. Now THIS mattress pad is exactly what I wanted thick and padded! As instructed, I put it I the dryer to help fluff it up from the vacuum sealed package. And boy did it! If filled up the whole dryer! ! I will warn you though, it might not be the one for you. If you need to get out of bed in the morning, trust me, it will be difficult. It seriously is like sleeping on soft marshmallows. You don't get buried, but it is thick! I just bought another one so I have a spare! ... show more

I have two different beds in my cabin that I just couldn’t get soft enough. I purchased three different beds and returned them because i didn’t think they could handle the cold (because they were the foam/gel type.) I finally kept an amazon one and the cheaper tempurpedic one I purchased, but they still felt like rocks. Then I found this mattress pad and it changed the beds. They feel like a nice hotel bed. The topper is thick and has just enough cushion to soften the beds. I haven’t had to wash them yet but I also keep a thin waterproof one underneath them…just in case. I suspect English is not the first language of the writer of the brochure that came with the product. Many sentences are not grammatically correct, which adds confusion to their message. It's clear you cannot wash the topper in a washing machine at home. However, it's not clear if you can "fluff it" (as recommended every 2 weeks) in a home drier. It's also clear that the filling material is polyester, but it does not state the fiber content of the fabric. Their statement "short-stable cotton loses some fullness and decreased its bulkiness over time" would make more sense if referring to the filling. But they state the filling is polyester, so I am perplexed. The fabric itself is not fluffy in any way. I checked the tags on the mattress topper and it seems to indicate all materials are synthetic. Cotton is not listed. The topper sleeps hot and I don't feel it breathes. I am currently using it in the winter. I have not used it in warmer months. On the positive side, it is a well-made product with an encasement that fits nicely around the mattress so it doesn't shift when in place, and you can periodically fluff it in a drier. Note: I have tried fluffing my California King size topper in my home drier. It completely consumes all of the space in the drier and in my opinion has no room to expand if it did “fluff”. I was concerned about air circulation, so removed it after a few minutes. Using a home clothes drier would likely work for a small topper such as a twin. Personally, I would not recommend using a home drier for larger sizes. In summary, it can be fluffed, but you likely would incur the expense and inconvenience of doing so in a commercial drier. ... show more
