This product was so helpful while living in a cramped college dorm. It gave me a really easy, secure bedside table that I could easily install and use in my twin bed. Going to bed at night in the dorm, I always needed somewhere to put my phone where I could reach it and put all of my trinkets, such as my computer and my keys. I have an Ikea bed frame with drawers underneath, so side tables are out of the question. This is the perfect little holder for all my bedtime things. Easy to install and very sturdy. Holds a coffee cup, Stanley cup, and my phone without issue.

When we got our daughter a loft bed, we didn't anticipate needing a bedside shelf for her sleeping so high up! I was delighted to find the BedShelfie Bedside Shelf for a great price/quality. I've actually bought two. Finally she has some place to put a water bottle, some tissues, and a book. There was a crack in one item that I purchased. I took photos and emailed them to the owner. He quickly responded and sent a replacement. It's life, nothing's perfect all the time, and I was just really grateful that Chris, the owner of the company that produces this one-of-a-kind product, was courteous and timely in responding to my need. I look forward to revisiting this company for future needs.

My daughter's room did not have enough room for a full nightstand and this was a really great alternative. She loves being able to have her water, remote, tissues, tablet, books ,etc right next to her bed. It also left room for us to put her trash can under it and out of site. It took about 2 minutes to install and is pretty sturdy. My recommendation to the company is to make the coating a little heavier so it does not scratch and maybe make the black mounting knobs the same color as the shelf so you don't see it as easily. In our case her comforter covers it and I will probably paint them white.

I moved recently to a smaller place, and I got the ZINUS SmartBase Tool-Free metal platform bedframe in full size. I wanted to avoid a bulky nightstand like I had previously and this definitely does the trick. Wanted to wait to review it in case it split in half in a week but it's been four months since I installed it and it is still going very strong, despite my initial hesitance. Fortunately, unlike other reviewers I didn't receive a used or scuffed unit. No cracks or missed paint. Installation was pretty easy and straightforward, enough so that when I had to do it twice after rearranging furniture, I didn't even mind. I was worried about it being able to work on the Zinus but the "flexfit" model went on just fine and is still secure after four months. The "floating" look is very cool, and although I worried about how it would hold up over time (i.e. sag), I haven't noticed any issues. I don't put a lot on it, just my magsafe charging stand for my phone and other miscellaneous nightstand goodies like my glasses, Switch joycons, earbud case, remote, etc. — nothing particularly heavy, and I wouldn't trust it to be able to hold anything heavy over long periods of time. I get nervous putting my Hydroflask on it, for instance, but in fairness it hasn't fallen down yet even if I do and it is within the 15lb weight limit. It also has been able to withstand my chonky 17lb male cat using it as a stepping stool to get to my bed, which was a pleasant surprise. It's really almost perfect imo, at least for my use case. The lip makes it so stuff doesn't just go flying off, which is nice (it does make it slightly harder to clean as stuff accumulates in the corners, though). I am a very *rough* sleeper, I kick and move quite a bit and it hasn't shifted at all. I love the little cord cutouts and the color matches my white bedframe nicely. Aesthetically, it's lovely. I appreciate that there are even white cover cutouts for the screw hole area. The build quality isn't stellar but it feels sturdy enough that I don't regret my purchase every night, which is good enough for me. I also have gotten so used to being able to roll over and chuck my glasses onto the shelf that I fear for the day I ever get rid of it and need to reach across to a nightstand that isn't literally right at my side (gasp, the horror). I like this thing so much I am even considering getting another as a side shelf for my desk, which has begun to overflow with Stuff™. The price and QC issues (based on other reviews — I didn't experience any so far) are the only two things holding me back. If the price weren't so high, it'd be a very easy recommend. For those who don't want or need this form factor/compactness, or just don't need a nightstand attached at bed level, it's hard to justify buying this over a cheaper, larger nightstand. This is absolutely perfect for smaller bedrooms and dorm/loft beds, though. PROS + compact + build quality is...fine. not very robust, probably shouldn't break with regular use though. + once installed, feels VERY secure (though I would try to keep within the weight limit) + safe for rough sleepers! + easy to install + white color is pretty :) CONS - expensive compared to other options - can be a bit of a PITA to clean since the lip (though helpful) does collect dust/dirt - quality control seems very hit or miss. I didn't have issues, but PLENTY of others did which makes me nervous to buy another

I discovered the BedShelfie through the Mushroom Clip-On Light, the Shroommate, and I couldn’t be happier! At 72, I needed a practical and stylish alternative to a nightstand since my bed is right by the bedroom door and space is limited. Shelf itself is great — attached easily, very sturdy and well built. Exactly what I was looking for. Only big issue is there’s an extremely potent off-gassing smell, like burning rubber. It’s been two days now and it’s still so strong that I can’t sleep with this attached to my bed because it’s giving me a headache. Really disappointing because I love the shelf.
