I purchased this mattress topper for our futon so that my elderly parents would be comfortable while they visited us. The 4" thick memory foam topper is comfortable. It is supportive without being hard and forgiving without being soft. The off gassing that occured when the topper was opened quickly disapated. It only took a few hours for the mattress to fully expand and was the perfect size for the futon. I do like the zipper that keeps the bottom portion from separating from the middle portion. It keeps the mattress together so you don't feel a separation where it folds. We planned on using this on the floor of our autistic child's room to help her transition to sleeping in her own room. The downside is that there is a definite hump down the center of the topper. It has been used on the bed continuously for almost two months and there is still a tenting effect. There is a definite curve that has not resolved. I had my hip replaced two weeks ago and this futon+mattress topper has been my recovery bed on our first floor. I have to drag myself to the center of the bed in order to not roll off the sides. I do not know why it is like this and I do not know how to fix it. Since the topper makes this bed precarious and dangerous, I can't recommend it even though the memory foam is comfortable. This will be something I end up donating after my recovery and we will find something else for our kiddo. *** Star added for customer service response to my review. I was contacted and assured this issue would be passed along to the factory. I was also refunded a portion of the purchase price as an apology for the issue with my particular mattress. My spouse turned the mattress over and I am now sleeping on the non-slid, dotted side. It seems to be helping with the curvature but this side does not have the same memory foam feel. ***

Super comfy when you put on top of carpet. Not the thickest, but i like that it’s thin enough to fold up and store. Comfier than an air mattress and works great for our kids who like to sleep on our floor regularly
