I put this on my sons loft bed. He loves it and although getting it on with our ceiling height was tricky, once I got it, it's perfect. It seems to be built very well, the zippers are durable and open and close easily. We don't move it around but if you did, it would fold easily and be lightweight enough to take it camping, etc. It is very dark if you have all the solid sides down but the screens are nice to get air flow through it. It can get warm when the solid sides are down, but with the black screens, you have a hard time seeing if he is in there and he seems to like that. Good value for what you get.

I was surprised that I was able to set this up by myself! The directions recommend two people, but I think you can do it from inside the tent if you're skilled with things like folding fitted sheets. I have a wooden platform bed with no headboard, so the bottom poles sit just barely on the corners. I have knocked one of the corners off the platform and distorted the frame, but it was easy to snap the poles back together when that happened. I have a really deep mattress, though, so there is less headroom than I expected, but it is fine for sleeping. It really does block light, about 70%. It can get a little stuffy inside with all the doors zipped up. I usually have at least one dog with me on the bed, too. I have monitored CO2 at night and during daytime naps, and it can vary pretty wildly. If I do have a window open in the room, the tent does seem slightly warmer than the room air (in winter). The cats hate it when it's closed and might end up damaging it if I leave it up and zipped, so consider that if you have animals who demand to be on the bed. It might also be a great deterrent if you don't want animals on a particular bed. The best use of it so far has been for daytime naps. It really is cozy and nice to have a dark space to lay down for a while on a long, tiring day. The only other warning I have for people when setting it up is, the fiberglass poles are a little rough. I got a couple of tiny splinters from them, which are painful and impossible to find to remove. So maybe wear light work gloves when setting up and taking down the poles. I'm looking forward to using this camping more than I am as a daily canopy. But it was fun to set up and test out indoors before hand so I know what I'm dealing with in the great outdoors. It will go inside a larger tent and will be wonderful for sleeping in or napping when camping.

I should’ve sent this back but I spent so much time on it that I just kept it. The poles are cheap & will definitely easily break. It was easy to make the frame but attaching the canopy was another story. It is a tight fit & the poles kept popping out. Didn’t want to break the poles so had to be extremely careful. Keeping in mind children are going to be sleeping here, I doubt it will last a month. What a nightmare.

Cons: - Sheer - The light blockout isnt the best. See pictures others have posted. Hard to sleep with sun is coming in through window. Additional modification such as adding curtain to window or to tent itself helps. I believe other tents may be better at light blocking - reduced airflow. Gets hot at night. A fan helps - Black tent looks gray from inside when light shining in which gives a depressing feeling. I switched to the navy tent. - navy tent looks black in the listing! - make sure to check item description or you might order the wrong one - Poles not super sturdy by themselves. I wouldn’t lean my entire weight against a zipped up side not against the wall. I was fine because my bed is in the corner of my room so 2 sides are next to walls. - Wish there were 4 windows instead of 3 and wish there were pockets on all corners. I do like how it has 2 pockets which others don’t always have - since there is no both, bottom poles may hang a bit weird or droopy or may not fit depending on bottom base under your mattress - I don’t know why none of the bed frames have a twin XL size. A twin size only fits regular twin. Pros: - I like how it is a rectangle shape instead of a rounded shape like other bed tents. -It doesn’t really have a bottom so you put it over your mattress instead of slipping your mattress in so it’s easier to put it on. -Set up a bit hard with one person but not impossible. I was able to do so by standing in the middle of the bed. - I wanted a tent that I could pack away later without having to master a finicky folding technique - cheaper than other bed tents. I brought it at $80 but I see it’s selling for $75 now. You can use the money you save to buy some blackout fabric to put over the top and sides of tent, and a small fan for inside the tent. 😅 (Blackout fabric and fan actually costs more than the 20-40$ you save but it is so more enjoyable with these two modifications. Still a bit stuffy feeling even with fan but feels better. Bed tents in general probably have these issues.)
