I bought a Sunbeam warmer full size a couple of months ago. while it warmed well, it was flimsy and you can feel the wires lying in it. That’s why I decided to look for another one. I compared this one with many others on Amazon but decided on this one. It came this evening and I quickly replaced the old one. Wow, this one is nice! It’s so soft and smooth. Definitely cannot feel any wires. It felt luxurious and thick. It warmed up quickly even without using the preheat button. It warmed event and broadly. I am loving it. By the way, many reviews mentioned that the smart home feature didn’t work. Well, it works for me but not what you think. The controller, by default, is normally configured to be off when you plug it into the wall outlet and only gets turned on when you push the on-off button. However, if you want to be able to ask Alexa to turn it on ahead of sleeping to get the bed all warmed up and cozy, from downstairs, you will first need to get an Alexa compatible WiFi plug all setup. Then you plug in your controller to this wifi plug. The accompanied instruction tells you to push and hold the preheat button for 2 seconds and you will see one quick flash and then goes off. Your controller is now ready for “smart” control. When you tell Alexa to switch on that smart plug that your warmer is plugged into, the warmer controller will now automatically switch on (instead of remaining off by default) to preheat the mattress warmer. Hahaha, not the smartest, but it is smart enough to allow you to switch it on to preheat your bed without having to go upstairs to the bedroom to switch it on. Kind of backward. 😂 Oh, just want to add additional insight after using it with Alexa for a while. If you turn it on with Alexa and allow it to stay on for 10 hours, the mattress controller will turn itself off automatically, an auto-off feature. The following evening, if you tell Alexa to turn it on, the smart plug it is plugged into is still on, but since the controller is now off due to the auto-off feature, the mattress will not come on until you physically switch it on. So, if you want to continue to use the “smart” feature with Alexa or other voice activated devices the next day, you have to tell Alexa to switch off the smart plug before the mattress’ 10-hours auto-off. Kinda confusing. Oh, one more thing. The controller wire goes into the mattress heater at the center of the foot a few inches from the end. So, my feet hits it and it’s a bit bothersome. So my solution was to turn it around up side down so that the controller wire enter at the head. This way, my pillows covers it and I never feel the wire ever again!! Smart. If I may say so myself!!!

We purchased to add to our guest room. Guests love it- love the dual zone controls, the preheat function, and how easy they are to use. They don't mind the control pad at the foot of hte bed. Works so well for them, I got jealous and bought one for myself.

It heats up as described, but it's nothing to write home about ... meaning the controller leaves a lot to be desired. It doesn't matter how I position the controller, it's always upside down when I reach for it ... and the lights are super tiny and require a great deal of fumbling to adjust the temperature. Even though it functions well when set, I definitely would not purchase this brand again just because of the controller. It's just too aggravating.

It sucks that one side stopped working. I worked through some troubleshooting over the phone, provided all my purchase info, and was issued a replacement item. The mattress pad was comfortable, I did not notice the wires, and it took the chill off the blankets when crawling into bed. I'm not happy that the first one crapped out, but I am relieved that some manufacturers still stand behind the products they sell. Kudos to Beautyrest or should I say JLA Home since that is the company that made the product.

I bought this pad for the cold weather we were expecting in early 2022. I'm usually a side sleeper, but sometimes I also sleep on my back, so I bought a nice, soft, pillowy memory foam mattress from Serta. I am not normally bothered by wrinkles in my sheets, but I can clearly feel the wires in this pad and it's very distracting. Worse than the obvious sensation of wires digging into your arm, side, or back, the control box plugs into a big bulky connector that is centered on the pad and starts 4 inches up from the end of the bed! It's very easy to smack your ankle into it when sleeping on your side, or your heel when sleeping on your back. As if there weren't enough flaws with the product, the pad only heats when you are in bed! The first night that I used the pad, I turned it on then took care of my evening ablutions, checked the locks, turned out the lights and came back to the bed about twenty minutes later to find the bed was ice cold! It was another 20 minutes before it warmed up. Thinking that it just took a while to get warm, the next night I turned it on an hour before bed time. It was still ice cold when I got into the bed and took about 20 minutes to warm up. No matter what settings I selected or when I turned it on, the pad would only heat up when I was laying on it and always took about 20 minutes to get to temp. As far as I am concerned this defeats the point of a heated mattress pad entirely.

I've had this mattress pad for years and have no complaints at all. It has worked so well and I am completely addicted to it and use it ear round. Of my favorite things about this brand is that the lights on the control are small so they do not light up the room and yet, easy to see. I have just ordered a second one for my guestroom.
