I love making and customizing skin care products for family and friends. I am making an eye cream for my sisters and friends for Christmas and thought these little jars would be perfect. 1. Yes they are plastic - a medium weight, nice quality plastic. I have purchased glass containers in the past, but they are not as cost effective as plastic and these will definitely travel better. 2. They are about 0.24 oz/7 grams - perfect for an eye cream or lip gloss. I could see using these as sample containers, but they are too small for anything other than an eye cream, lip balm, etc. 3. They do not have a weird chemical smell, not sure how else to explain it, but I have purchased plastic containers in the past that smell awful and even with multiple washings the smell does not seem to dissipate. 4. The tops did not cross thread, and I screwed them on and off several times just to be sure. They fit perfectly on the jars and did not leak when turned upside down. Very important because whatever gift I give my sister she is going to shake to try to figure out what it might be. 5. They are easily decorated, I used washi tape on the lid and a printed label on the body of the jar. I will definitely be purchasing more of these as I can totally see making a lip gloss collection with them - I bought a bakery scents fragrance collection that will work perfectly as lip glosses. These were great to put my all natural lip balm & solid eye oils in. 👌🏽 And I will be stocked FOREVER. The contents of this particular balm contain A LOT OF ESSENTIAL OILS and they have been in this container for well over two months now and the EOs still smell (if not BETTER - which is how it is supposed to be) as if I JUST put dropped them in there. So in my opinion, the darkness of this container is highly beneficial to keeping the EOs in your product as fresh as possible for the longest time possible. Also, ☝🏼 I live in LAS VEGAS where the heat can get WELL OVER 110 degrees. So to know that these containers really preserve the high QUALITY my EXPENSIVE EOs contain is quite reassuring. I’m happy 😃 knowing that the benefits of the products I make will NOT diminish while using these containers. These seal well. I filled with oil, closed the lid and left on its side for a few hours. There was no leaking (this was just a test, these are not intended for oil storage). These are great for personal use and product testing, but you would not want to sell your products in these. The cap is thin, low quality and feels cheap. You can see the threads through the material and it will bend. For those who don’t know what size to get, these are only slightly larger than a Carmex pot. It’s probably the largest pot that is still comfortable in the front pocket of jeans. ... show more

The BLACK Sturdy Thick Double Wall Plastic Container was a great buy for resin because I can put some resin into this little jar to dunk my projects into the resin for my top layer. No more having to use a paint brush then heating the brush strokes off. Then I can just cover the jar and the resin has not dried out so far. I love them.
