If you are only doing smoothies, this is the one. I don't know how it happens, but even at only 1000w it makes a smoother smoothie than my 1200w ninja. The other thing is it seems better built and is way better looking on my counter top (takes up less footprint too). My wife loves that she doesn't have to pause the TV every time I flip it on, if she happens to be watching something... our ninja is literally the loudest blender we've ever owned.

Very aesthetically pleasing blender, visually. Has great blending power and simple control. Quick press to do pulses or hold and let the blender do the blending for the next minute or so. The blender goes through three cycles and it changes "gears" or velocity of the spin over the course. Always produces a silky smooth smoothie. Highly recommend.

Long ago, we had a masticating juicer that was ordered from an infomercial. Although it was fine for what it did, the space it occupied on our countertop was hard to justify. The BEAST appears to be a compact, more versatile solution. It's smaller than a juicer and less expensive than a high-end, high speed blender. It outperforms and looks cooler than the Magic Bullet. For me, the real test of a blender's capability is how it performs with fruit with annoying seeds like pomegranates. The BEAST exceeded my expectations and obliterated the arils and seeds to a ultra fine pulp that didn't really need to be strained unless you're into the extra step. I initially gave it two hits of the programmed cycle, but one minute would've sufficed. The included accessories are nice, functional, and easy to clean. The price of additional vessels isn't too bad, because I plan on getting at least another dedicated for savory/aromatic blending. The BEAST is a solid blender for smoothies and fine purees, if you're not quite ready to commit to a Vitamix or Blendtec, or need something that is low-maintenance and doesn't require a great degree of control.

i have been looking for a personal blender for a long time for smoothies and protein shakes. it's kind of hard to find personal blenders that are sturdy and that have good blending power. a lot of personal blenders' reservoirs are also low quality and crack or wear easily. this blender has me feeling a lot more optimistic about bringing smoothies and protein shakes back into my routine. first of all, this blender is absolutely beautiful. i try to prioritize aesthetic kitchen items as often as i can, as it makes a surprisingly big difference to have your kitchen look organized and designed even with countertop items. other personal blenders have not looked good enough for me to leave out on my counter, so i would store them in cupboards and have to re-set it up any time i wanted to use it. this one is so beautiful, i have no issues leaving it out on my counter for easy, daily use. it does not detract from the look of my space and yet it's small and compact enough that it also doesn't eat up too much counter space to leave it out on a daily basis. visual design should not be the number one reason you pick a blender, but at the same time, this blender really stands out in that area. second of all, the blending power is good for what i'm using it for. previous personal blenders really haven't been able to get through ice or fruit without leaving chunks, which i don't like personally in my smoothies and shakes. this one gets a very smooth blend and doesn't leave any chunks behind, whether it's ice or fruit in question. it also doesn't have major issues with powders and butters sticking to the blades or any other part of the reservoir, granted you follow the included instructions on which order to put in your ingredients. third, it is easy to use and easy to clean. the exchangeable lids are so convenient, they screw into place really easily, and are easy to change out. the blender is self-sufficient, and blends well on a single cycle. so once you have pushed the button to blend, you don't need to hold it in place, check if it needs another cycle, or pulse it after blending. it's very easy to multitask when the blender is blending on its own. it's nice that you can use the reservoir to drink out of with a different cap, and it's nice that the product included straws for you to drink out of the reservoir as well. the cap for drinking out of the reservoir can be closed tight with a lid, so you could travel with this if you wanted to. it may go without saying, but the reservoir will likely not fit in a car cup holder, so that's the only thing to keep in mind when it comes to portability of the reservoir. for me, this is not a major issue. the pieces are also top-rack dishwasher safe, which makes cleaning very easy if you want to skip the hand wash from time to time. i hope this holds up well with long-term use, because i'm happy with the design and performance and looking forward to easier, more frequent shakes and smoothies.

I'm completely blown away by this blender! The name Beast is not overselling it! I own a Blendtec blender so my expectations are quite high and they were still exceeded! You can push the button to pulse or hold the button for a couple seconds to start a 1 minute cycle which you can stop early if needed (there are no additional settings). Over the course of the one minute cycle it slows down several times and then ramps back up again. I put this through its paces (or so I thought!) by putting ice and two fresh whole apples in it (along with some water) and it completely pulverized everything! There was no trace of seeds, stem, skin or anything (the ice had even turned back into water!). Because it has so much power, it will warm up what your blending a little bit if you let it run the entire minute so you can either stop it early or just pulse if you want something to be ice cold. The blender doesn't need to be held in place during use either as the bottom is designed in such a way to prevent shaking or walking off the counter. If you want to take your smoothie with you, you can attach the straw lid (it comes with one straw lid, one screw cap, two straws, a straw brush, and a solid lid if you want to refrigerate the contents). Cleaning is as impressive as blending! I use a few drops of Dawn dish cleaning soap and fill it about 1/3 of the way with water. I let the blender run for its full cycle and by the end it is completely full (top to bottom) with warm, thick bubbles. I rinse out the soap in the sink and everything is completely spotless, including the blade (I do the same with my Blendtec but it doesn't soap up nearly as much and I still have to do a fair amount of follow up hand washing). This blender truly is incredible – I cannot imagine a better blender for making smoothies!
