I bought a single-pack a while back with the intent to use at my outdoor trash area, which is very dark at night. It stayed in the box for over a year before I finally installed it. It took only a few minutes to screw it onto the side of the house, and WOW! It works perfectly, providing plenty of light and instantly turning on when I come around the corner to that side of the house. It worked SO WELL that I have now purchased a two-pack of the same lights, and will be installing them inside my two sheds, which will be so much more functional when illuminated by these.

This light really puts out some light! It is very bright and seems kind of flimsy at first. However once you put the batteries in and it requires 3D batteries, it's pretty darn nice. I'm actually not using it for the purpose for which I bought it, I decided to put it in a closet instead and I'm so happy I did. Picks up motion pretty well

I needed a battery-operated light to occasionally illuminate the area under our deck. I've used Mr. Beams motion detector lights for indoor applications and have been satisfied with operation, battery life and quality of illumination, so I decided to try this one for my application. Fully satisfied with the unit. Very well designed for installation and positioning, lighting is sufficiently bright for the area, motion detection works very well, and cost is also reasonable. So far no issues with weather resistance, and the design appears to be good for outdoor use.

I bought this to replace a Mr.Beams whose battery lid had cracked, so it no longer held the batteries. This one is too bright in the center! Don't look at it straight on. OK after pasting an opaque round sticker on it. (if I aim it to reflect off the fence, the motion sensor won't sense the right direction). If any deer come, they'll just freeze. I bet it would scare thieves off, though, if a camera were next to it they probably couldn't see it.

They detect motion but the light doesn't cover a lot of space... The light doesn't stay on long, and it needs multiple D cell batteries. Frankly I'd look elsewhere in you plan on using g for security

Second order. They've been holding up well in hot direct sunlight and driving rain. We don't have any ice or snow here so cannot tell you about it's performance in that. But for the price I've lined a number of these along the side of the house where I have to haul the garbage bins to the street. Very nice. Batteries have lasted just over a year before replacing.
