When I first got this I was really irritated; I thought it was cheap and flimsy, and I had every intention of returning it but we were running out the door and I didn't have time. It went with us on vacation. Vacation was to Philly 250, on the Ben Franklin Parkway which got evacuated for sudden torrential storms. A near-midnight decision by the mayor put the festivities back on so we trucked back up to the green. Remember the torrential storms? Everything was absolutely *SOAKED*. We put this down because we figured it would at least keep the mud off. It kept the mud off. It also kept the rain off!!! I stand corrected; this thing functioned exactly as we needed it to, it's super lightweight, super easy to pack, and it went in with our beach stuff. The blanket is lightweight, has stakes, and comes in a nice little carrying bag with a bag clip. I just received it, so I can vouch for how it handles at the beach, but I’m excited to try it out! The quality seems pretty good, vibrant colors, and the size is really big. It did have a little bit of a smell, nothing bad, but I just threw it in the washer. We took this big waterproof and sand-proof blanket on our beach vacation, and we absolutely loved it! From the moment we spread it out on the sand, it was clear this blanket was a game-changer for beach days. Size: The blanket is generously sized — plenty of room for our family to sit, lounge, and relax without feeling crowded. We could easily fit towels, snacks, and beach toys without running out of space. Waterproof & Sand Proof: This was by far our favorite feature. The waterproof backing kept moisture from seeping through, even when the sand underneath was damp. And sand? It brushed right off! No more sticky, gritty mess clinging to our legs or towels afterward. Comfort & Quality: The material feels durable and comfortable. Does what it says! Keeps sand off. Even if sand got on wipes clean very easy! Smaller than it looks. If you purchase the 1-6 size up to really get 6 on. Folds back up and back in original bag for storage.

Not only is this a beautiful blanket it’s just what we needed to stay off the hot sand and a nice bright marker to find our stuff after wandering around on the beach. It’s thin but quick drying, comes with a carrying pouch and 4 sand anchors and was perfect for our needs.
