After hours and hours and hours of researching, reading reviews, adding toppers into my cart, narrowing them down, on and on. You know how it goes. I chose the one with zero reviews. As I write this, there are now 2 reviews, both five stars. Mine will make three. There are soooo many choices between toppers. The main choices being foam of some sort, or down of some sort. I knew I wanted a combination of both. Although I dreamed of cloud like, I knew I needed support as well because of multiple fusions in my neck and a lower back surgery as well. I still wanted soft! After spending a few thousand on a supportive and soft mattress, the soft wasn’t soft enough. Not only that, I’d wake up because of pain in my shoulder and numb arms. My hips ached and climbing out of bed was getting harder. My already troubled sleep patterns were being magnified with even more interrupted sleep. I NEEDED a topper! Guess what? I am extremely satisfied with my pick. No, it is not “cloud like” but it IS the perfect balance. You have the slightest sink into softness while still maintaining an ability to move easily. I didn’t have shoulder or hip pain or numb arms. Drifting off into a comfortable sleep actually happened Total win. I’m not going to go over all of the specifics of this topper. You’ve already read them in the ad. It looks just like the pictures! It feels amazing. My husband, a man that jumps out of bed every morning, ready to start the day, said to me this morning…. “This [topper] feels amazing, I don’t want to get out of bed just yet”. Well we have a mattress set that is somewhere between 5-10 years old, and it is the style with a 'pillowtop' that has started to wear unevenly, which is disappointing. The thought of spending $$$$ on a new mattress right now, with the economy like it is is just really unappealing so we looked into other options and learned about these memory-foam mattress toppers and thought, why not give it a try. This item arrives in a medium-sized box and you will find the memory-foam pad is rolled up tightly inside. It took about 4 hours, maybe more, before it eventually opened itself up to its normal size. After that we stripped the bed and installed this nice combo set of memory-foam plus a thick and quilted mattress pad. This is ideal because we didn't want to sleep directly on the memory foam. Our fitted sheet has deep pockets so there was no issue with us adding the extra memory foam to our setup. Comfort-wise this is pretty nice. It is different than sleeping right on top of the mattress... you tend to sink into the memory foam a little which isn't a bad thing. It's pretty relaxing actually. By the end of our first week I'd totally gotten used to it and I am pleased that the worn spots on our mattress, that were noticeable before now, are not really noticeable anymore. My daughter has been complaining about how much her mattress hurts her back and since we need to wait awhile to purchase her a new mattress, I got her this memory foam + down mattress topper instead. It changed her whole bed! I even took a moment to enjoy it after we put it on her twin size mattress. It added about 5 inches to the height of her bed and it was easy for both of us to put on the mattress by ourselves. The two layers really add on a fantastic level of comfort. And she said it feels like her bed is more luxurious now. It comes vacuum sealed and rolled up but we were able to put it on her bed right out of the package and didn’t have to wait for it to flatten at all! Bought for a twin size bed. There was a one inch purple foam pad and then a one inch mattress pad cover that was quilted. It was an interesting take on the mattress pad, but it fit the mattress from IKEA well and hugged it tight on the bottom. Don't let it discourage you when you first open this and the foam is all clumped up in places, stuck together and looks like it's far too small to cover your mattress. Let it naturally expand without pulling and tugging it apart (you could rip it). After 15min it's fully expanded and fits perfectly. Once you get the grey top on it all comes together. This has very deep pockets and will easily accommodate an extra thick mattress. The top layer is super soft and plush, and paired with the gel foam it's heaven! We purchased this mattress for our guest room without giving it much thought; but quickly realized it was extremely uncomfortable. This topper fixed it and we no longer feel we need to buy a whole new mattress! Not only does it provide sink in comfort, but it's also very supportive. We are so happy with this mattress pad that we are already placing to purchase one for our bed. ... show more

I have a Queen adjustable bed. This gel mattress topper is amazing!! I can’t begin to tell you enough. It’s very easy to install. You remove and add the purple gel topper first. You need to allow enough time for it to expand naturally before adding the mattress topper to your bed. It expands fairly quickly. The instructions say about 2 days. As you can see from the pics I posted it definitely gives your bed additional height. It’s like I need a little step stool to get on my bed. 5 plus stars for this product. ... show more
