Description

Epson stores the number of printed pages in a computer chip, which is located at the front of a cartridge. If we refill a cartridge, we also need to reset the page number back to zero. Otherwise, the printer will still show low ink and prevent us from printing. You have two solutions: 1) Use a chip resetter. A "resetter" tool allows us to change page number. 2) Use a refillable cartridge. Not all cartridges have resetter or refillable cartridge available. BCH keeps a web blog of current development progress for all Epson cartridges. For example, there are no solutions for T220, T288, T410, T702, T802, and T786. There are CIS solutions for T220 and partial support to T288. Check the blog for more recent progress. Works great in my BCH continuous ink system on an Epson. One of the single 100 mL black bottles contains about $100 of ink for only $2.83! I use this for text/graphics printouts on standard paper. I don't know how well it would perform with photos.

I have only owned for a short time but I have been testing a lot in order to improve my print quality. This product so far seems great and does not clog the heads. My biggest problem using refillable cartridges in the past is the clogged heads with lower quality ink. This product runs smoothly and has good print quality. I have tried a few photos and it makes a nice image on photo paper. ... show more

I have only tried refilling the black ink, but it was worth every penny just for the black ink. One day I will try to refill the color cartridge.

    • Disappointing black, color shift
I bought this because I needed a colorfast dye ink but now I wonder if I should have gotten the pigment. A big problem is that the black is a dye and not a pigment (as comes with all the starter ink sets no matter what printer you buy) so it is more like a faded 90% black even on glossy paper or ink jet paper. If you just want cheap and a little color shift or printing with spread is OK then this might be a good fit because they give you a lot of ink. So if it was for dittos for kids then go for it. I needed more color accuracy so this was a giant fail and now I don't know how to clean out my tanks on a mega tank printer. I am disappointed. ... show more

I thought there would be instructions. The Video tutorial didn't help. I got frustrated (ink everywhere) and just have to purchase new cartridges... I spent too much time trying to drill holes and refill. Then there is a Chip that is needed? Make sure you order Everything you need.
