My daughter wanted to buy a “formal dress” for her Middle School dance. It was only going to be 2 hours at the school, so I k ew it was t a true “formal”. I told her a cocktail dress would not only be more appropriate, but within a reasonable budget. She had just received an Amazon gift card and cash, so wanted to buy it herself. We had our eye on this one, and it happened to go on sale. My daughter was able to buy it herself, and was over the moon when it came in. The royal blue is gorgeous, and the drape of the material is very forgiving. It is a little big on her now, but because of the cut and drape, it’s fine, plus gives her something to grow into. I can see her keeping this for quite a few years, since I don’t think she will grow too much more beyond where she is now.

Bought this dress as a wedding guest and I love it. I was hesitant at first as I prefer to get dresses that I can wear regular bras with (have a bigger chest). But I got a strapless bra and just got clear straps and they worked fine! Please keep in mind it was November so I had a cardigan on the whole time which helped. I was nervous with the neck area as there is NO stretch, I’m usually a M-L depending on fit so I went up and I’m very happy I did!

I am 220lbs and 5'6. I ordered an XL, but actually meant to order a 2XL. I am soooo glad I didn't. The dress was perfect, it has a bit of a stretch to it so it was snug, but comfy and hugged in all of the right places. The dress I ordered was black and had the high-lo skirt. The fabric wasn't see through or thin at all as other reviews claimed. I would definitely recommend.
