    • Great on the iPad but not on the Paperwhite
I always use the BBC Good Food site for recipes and years ago I bought the magazine so when I noticed it on KU I thought I’d give it a try. Now I have a Kindle Paperwhite for reading (better for my eyes) and an iPad for everything else and this works well for me. When I downloaded this magazine I had every intention of reading it on my iPad and as you’d imagine it works well. It’s just like reading the magazine, I took screenshots of my favourite recipes including the Easter Nest Cake and I was very happy. My experience with my Kindle was a whole different story, it didn’t work at all. It’s the first magazine I’ve downloaded but It just doesn’t work on a Paperwhite. ... show more

    • Ok recipes but hard to make sense of without looking everything up in google.
This is a British magazine, which means if you aren't conversant with the differences in languages it is hard to work with. For instance one of the recipes calls for courgette, which looked very familiar, but I had to google it to be sure it was actually zucchini. Most of the recipes looked strange to disgusting, but it's probably because the words and food looked so unfamiliar. I am not super experimental, so that may be part of it. ... show more
