I used Bayes Mineral Oil to feed and protect my new bamboo cutting board. I live in the desert so it’s necessary to feed wood and bamboo products to keep them from cracking and drying out. As suggested on the bottle, I oiled my cutting board for 12 days before actually using it to cut bread. With each application, the bamboo became smoother and a bit shinier. It is ok. Like any mineral oil. I believe the bottle I received was a return. At least an ounce was missing from the bottle. I needed right away so did not retuned it.

I bought a new bamboo cutting board & it suggested treating it with olive oil or mineral oil, so I bought this. I needed to use it on my wooden utensils too. It goes on nicely & I still have several applications to go before I can use my items but that's ok.
