Just received this item a few days ago. Not only was it inexpensive- it's perfect for what I needed it for. Living in a city, space is a huge issue so, a lot of my furniture is chosen based on size. I could go to Pottery Barn and get something like this that's real wood, heavy, and extremely durable. However, I would pay 10 times the amount and, it would be too large. My dining room is split space next to my kitchen (not a separate room but separated enough due to the wall layout). So, I keep my printer and paper shredder in there and the way I've had it set up- it doesn't seem hideous or out of place. The issue was that I had office supplies in 3 different areas of the apartment which, drives me crazy bc I'm super organized and like things to be logical in how they're stored. So, I ordered this for my dining room space as a cabinet to store office supplies. The back side is basically that foldable heavy cardboard that you insert into the grooves. But, no one will see it. The rest of the product is sturdy and it looks nice. Assembly was pretty easy (took a little over an hour but, I was exhausted when I did it so I think it could be done in 45min-an hour). The front panels on the doors are definitely fragile. So, if you have kids or aren't mindful when you open/close things...not sure how well they with withstand the abuse. I was also able to use shoe box size containers inside on some of the shelves. But the next size up of containers- was too big. But given the shelves are on pegs, you can choose to take out a shelf if needed. That probably wouldn't be an issue if you're actually using this for shoe storage though. Since I like things labeled and in containers- it forced me to take most of the stuff out of containers and just store on the shelves. Which, I was okay with because there's plenty of space to store things by category on the same shelves;-) I've attached a photo here of the product once assembled. It's not fancy but I think if it's in the right space in a home- it can look nice. For me, it works in the small space that I have it. I will say that it's lower in height than my dining room table. Which, isn't an issue for be based on how it's being used and where it's located. But, if you're storing this in an entryway or somewhere that it matters how furniture looks- I would maybe suggest looking at the measurements and taping them off on your wall first to see if it's something that would work for you and your space. This is hands down one of the best purchases I've ever made from Amazon. I absolutely love this show cabinet! It looks great! It's not too complicated to put together. The material is high quality and very sturdy. The doors open and close with ease. There is so much storage space. I can easily fit 25-30 pairs of shoes. However the shelves inside the cabinet are not tall enough to fit work boots. ... show more

This shoe rack is beautiful. It looks like a piece of furniture that could be out in the center of a home and not be out of place. It is very sturdy, but it is particle board, so it is not indestructible. I was surprised by how heavy it was when I received it. The assembly was pretty quick and very easy. The instructions were very clear and simple to follow. The shelves are not moveable, which I do feel is a negative for this shoe rack. The only way that heels or boots can be added inside is to lay on their sides. Which is fine if you don't wear them often, but the constant sliding could damage the shoes. If the shelves could be repositioned, you could solve this issue. The only way to solve the problem as it stands is to completelu remove a shelf, which seriously dimishes the amount of shoe storage. I love this shelf. I think it is beautiful, and I highly recommend it. Just be aware that if you primarily wear heels or tall shoes, this may not be right for you. ... show more

Ordered this cabinet to store shoes in our entryway. First, I was pleasantly surprised at how well this was packaged for shipping. They took great care in making sure all of the pieces were separated & did not scrape against each other during shipping. Everything was clearly labeled & the instructions were simple, making it super easy to assemble. It took me 30 min tops to put this together & it looks so much nicer by the front door, rather than our usual unsightly pile of shoes (family of 4...at times could be A LOT of shoes). This cabinet was also an attempt to foil our new puppy's chewing habits; he'd become quite the shoe junkie. Problem solved!! There's no way he can get to any of the shoes. I'm very happy with this purchase & would recommend it to anyone. It's fairly sturdy, comes in a beautiful rich dark color & has plenty of shelves inside to house A LOT of shoes. The only thing I added was some shelf liner to protect the wooden shelves in case there was dirt or moisture on the shoes. Great buy for the $$ ... show more

This works very well! I am using it to hold shoes. I can see if someone has large shoes, you might need to put them in sideways, but for our shoes (women’s size 7-8.5 and men’s size 9) they fit perfectly. We laid carpet in the inside just so dirt from the shoes didn’t get on the wood. I was worried about it being difficult to assemble, so we organized the pieces and labeled them. After that, we realized the pieces were labeled with a stamp on the side, but that’s easy to miss. It wasn’t very hard to assemble, but it did take a little while to put together. This looks very nice and seems sturdy. You will want to have the back against a wall or similar, as it doesn’t look that nice from the backside (the back piece is just like a cardboard material).
