    • Great stories and great art
The art is wonderful and the stories are quite good with Long Halloween being be the best out of the others. Long Halloween so great I really enjoy the crime family stuff, very godfather like. Harvey Dent is so great in this story. Dark Victory blends into Long Halloween flawlessly. The Haunted Night trilogy is fun, the first two stories are in my opinion the best out of the three. There fun short stories. Catwoman When in Rome is fun and interesting. Takes place during Dark Victory and explains where she went and why. The omnibus itself is good, average for the current DC omnibus quality. Binding is good not Marvel good but decent. Has a nice eye or tube. Nothing to worry about if you get one now (2021) with the newer printings. I highly recommend this to any batman fan and crime fan. ... show more

I've always loved these stories as an avid Batman fan, but this collection is spellbinding!! Absolutely beautiful presentation of possibly the best Batman stories ever written (very powerful statement I know, and open to opinions, but seriously awesome stuff folks). I already own the paperbacks of these stories, but just had to have them in hardcover and took a chance on all the steller reviews..... DO NOT HESITATE! BUY THIS NOW!! Beyond happy with the purchase. I store all my omnibus collections flat, to preserve the bindings (they are really heavy and large). But in all honesty this one is put together so we'll, one might have no issues just putting it on the shelf like any book (I still won't, cause I love my Batman collection to much to chance it). This omnibus collects some of the best stories for batman fans. The hard cover at first glance is bland and seems like an after thought but can easily be overlooked. Its a black cardboard material similar to the omnis that DC keeps dishing out non stop. Keep the dust jacket on after reading and it will look great on your shelf. The binding is similar to the new omnis coming out recently from DC and it stays flat when reading and isnt tight. Its a sewn binding and I havent had any issues. As far as the pages go their not too thin and not too thick. The colors really come out and the shades of black really look well done and you can tell they didnt just reprint. There was some thought that went into this. There are some really cool extras in the back which makes up for the overall price. In all this is a giant collection of some awesome stories and my review is a little all over but you want a reason why its 5 stars. ... show more
