I used this product to coat an old porcelain tub that was harvest gold. I researched many refinishing products and decided that Bathworks met all my criteria for meeting my objectives. I was most concerned about the application process. Spraying, pouring, brushing, rolling were the choices. The best for me was rolling with a foam roller. I had no issues with the odor or anything associated with the application. I spent 3 days cleaning the tub and used EZ Etch for preparation. The EZ Etch is a must. Its recommended but it really is needed. I talked with a person at Sherwin Williams and he agreed that it is great stuff and strongly recommended I use it. Cleaning is 90% of the process. I've developed ceramic paints for them and for good adherence I had to develop a cleaner and primer. Once the tub was perfectly clean the application was simple. Just roll it on as their video suggest. Follow the instructions and don't rush you have enough time to coat the tub. Don't put too much paint on the roller but just enough to get coverage. Don't dry roll. For the second coat don't overdue the paint or it will run on the straight sides. Since this is a self leveling paint if you put too much paint on the second coat you will see runs develop. My advice is to go over them without adding more paint to the roller or it will get worse. This is all about technique and if you get runs or fisheye etc it's not the products fault but your own. That said, I did develop a few runs and decided to leave it alone. Again it's self leveling paint and I hoped they would spread out. Well after a few days the runs were were close to gone and unnoticed. Then let the paint cure. I left for 30 days without use. I have 3 baths. The paint dried rock hard and looks great. It adhered well, very glossy and looks first class. I've decided to do another tube with this product but this time I know I can avoid any runs since I believe I have a better understanding of the application process. It's not hard just time consuming. Researching was the most frustrating part and I'm glad I chose the right product. Good luck. One suggestion on the video, please add a troubleshooting in it as to how to deal with runs. That would have helped me a bunch. ... show more

This worked great on my guest bathroom’s tub/shower combo. It completely changed the dull, tan fiberglass into a bright white and it looks great. I did need two sets of paint to complete the project though. It dries really fast so work with a sense of urgency if you use this, and mix both sets of paint at the same time if you need 2 sets. Make sure you have a respirator and are in a well ventilated area because the smell is STRONG but not unbearable. ... show more

Im thrilled with the outcome. I used it for the basins of a double vanity only so I could not use the roller. My opinion is based on brushing it on. Though it's far from perfect I am extremely satisfied with the outcome and appearance. The product really works, the bath tub looks like new ! BUT WHY ONE ⭐️ THE ROLLER ITS JUNK!! It will ruin all your hard in a second!! Come on bathworks the least you could do it’s included a quality roller with such an expensive product!!!!!!

The product itself is as advertised. Mixes and goes on easy. You definitely want a high quality respirator and several pairs of rubber work gloves. The more ventilation you can get the better. I ordered two kits for a tub/shower with a ceiling. Using the foam brush for the areas the roller wouldn’t cover, the brush started lose its physical strength before I finished the borders. The foam roller worked well until towards the end when it started coming apart leaving chunks of foam mixed with the product. I scraped them out and used the roller from the second kit to finish the first. The same thing happened with applying the second kit where the foam roller started falling apart before I was done. I had no other tools on hand to assist in finishing the tub edge and front, so some chunks of foam remained mixed in. I may need to redo part of the project. ... show more

This kit was great! It had all the tools included so I did not have to buy anything else, and the product was easy to use and turned out amazing. I watched the YouTube video on this exact product and now have a brand new looking tub! (Before/after photos)

This product was pretty easy to use. Follow the instructions carefully! I would paint from the top to the bottom though, instructions are from bottom to top. This left a few paint drips that dried that way. Not a huge deal, but it would make it look professionally done without them. Finish seems to be quite durable- time will tell. This is the second time that this tub has been refinished, the last time someone put stickers on the tub when the paint was wet and I hated them! We did a lot of prepping by scraping and sanding the stickers off and sanding smooth all of the blemishes. You will need a good fan in the window or room as the smell is strong. We also changed the color from tan to white without any trouble or bleed through from the old color. Overall very happy with this product and would recommend for the DIY people! ... show more
