Incredible product! Why? Because it allowed ME to create the perfect shower. I am a psychotherapist, and have never attempted such a project ever before and, by the end of it all, I had the perfect shower. Let me give you the back story: our garden apartment rental had a flood in August 2015 and resulted in the tenant moving out and the apartment needing to be gutted. Insurance paid for the flood mitigation, but there was no cash for the gut rehab. Plus, with no tenant, we were losing thousands of dollars in rent. What to do? The impossible: do it ourselves, in three weeks. While my husband has done some of this work before to a prior home, I have never done anything remotely like this. However, with time and money looming over our heads, I volunteered to completely redo the bathroom. All by myself! (And I have the video to prove it! LOL I documented the process because I couldn't believe what I was getting myself into!) I first had to remove the bathtub, surrounding tiles, cement board walls. Then I had to replace and position the drain. Next, came the BATHTUB TO SHOWER CONVERSION KIT. Mind you, I have ABSOLUTELY NO EXPERIENCE. None. Zilch. I literally played the Mark E Industries instruction video on YouTube and followed it step by step. Seriously, I played it so often that I have it memorized line by line. But that's all I did: Followed the demonstration and did what it said. But the fact that the shower is PERFECTLY PITCHED is simply amazing to me. Sure, there were snafu's that were due to our own particular situation, such as drain placement and quirks intrinsic to the 130 year old home. But still: this kit allowed me, a psychotherapist with no experience doing any home improvement work at all, to build a perfect bath-to-shower conversion! ... show more

Not so goof proof in my opinion.This kit arrived with some missing additional slope sticks— made it work. I bought a nice square stainless drain but found that the kit Requires a round drain— boring. The videos seemed dated and could have used more detail. The curb directions did not tell you that if you have more than two segments you must attach them before building into the U shape...had to take them all apart to get the dovetail connections made. Felt like the drain ring needed cutouts where they rested on the flange bolts — I ended up grinding out space in the plastic ring for the 4bolt heads.. this let the slope sticks sit more flat on the surface. Not saying don’t buy this product but you still need a lot of fiddling and jiggering to use it. I would have probably picked out specific pieces and skipped the kit — I did not use 1/3 of the sticks and the vinyl pan liner didn’t fit my 60”x 48” pan — had to buy another curb segment to extend an additional 4”—- called the company to see if they could help me out ..remnant or maybe a freebie they said no.. ... show more

The package that included the preslope and quick pitch kits was great. No problems with the install and the included DVD was a great reference tool. I used a different liner, but the included line would have been fine, due to it being the same thickness. Make sure you mix the mud very dry, it helps the preslope and quick pitch slope stay in place and dry out faster. ... show more

For us that are not familiar with installing a shower floor, this product and wonderful instructions seem great. I have only received and inspected the product. But now I feel confident, my project will work out successfully. I am now looking for the tile and working on a pattern. It cost a bit, but I think, for me at lest it will be worth it. ... show more
