I use these to keep the sun off my legs while kayak fishing. I've been out a few times so far this year, they seem to work and keep my legs cool. Will see how it goes in the middle of summer. They're super lightweight, comfortable, breathable, and hydrophobic, so if you do get wet you don't stay soaked. Will probably get another couple pairs.

Husband with mobility issues and likes to wear elastic waist pants. These fit him well, have great pockets with zippers. Don't buy unless you have a sewing kit. Both front pockets had a hole at the bottom where the seam was sewn incorrectly, leaving a gap. Don't know how they do in the dryer as hung them up to dry after washing. Ordered a second pair and have kept my sewing box out of the closet until I check the pockets!
