It’s so refreshing when I get to write a review that simply says the best 20 bucks I ever spent! I’m a longtime drummer learning to play the bass and I’m not very technical. I had this up and running perfectly within 15 seconds. They even provide batteries. This gadget is amazing. I am practicing with yousician and just be aware that for some reason yousician has trouble recognizing when you play the proper notes so at least with the yousician app and it’s no fault of the device, the notes don’t register properly, but I can still play along and learn the songs on my own. I love this thing.

This is a decent little headphone amp I got it so I can practice along with tracks in my apartment and not disturb folks. The bass tone is good but distorts easily. The volume does not get very loud with my active bass but for a small battery powered device, it works fine.

This headphone amplifier is exactly what I needed for “quiet” practice. The aux input is perfect to play along with music. There have been some reviews that said the volume and mix controls didn’t work, but I have not experienced any issues with them. If I had any criticism (and this is really nitpicking) it would be that there is some background noise when you’re not playing anything. However, I don’t notice it at all when I’m listening to music or when I’m playing. In short, it does what it’s supposed to do, it has functioned flawlessly, and it is less than half the cost of the comparable Vox headphone amplifier. Based on my experience, I wholeheartedly recommend it!

It is easy to use and sounds OK. The problem is the jack that accepts the 1/8" earphones is poorly designed. I get the feeling that it was not designed for a stereo plug. After I move the plug in and out a few times it finally connects and you can hear your instrument through your earphones. I have used it dozens of times now, and it has eventually worked every time, but each and every time I needed to move the 1/8" stereo plug in and out a few times to get a connection.

Three star at best in my experience. It takes some juggling and messing with it for it to work consistently. The jack doesn’t fit all the way in the guitar and the aux headphone cable doesn’t fit all the way in the port, but it’s okay because if you make them, they don’t work. Once you do figure out the right placement of everything, it works fine.

Reviewed in the United States on June 12, 2025 by For the money I'm impressed with this bass overall setup was good out of the box did need a little tweak for my taste the finish is killer hardware is solid bass stays in tune pretty good pickups are a little better than two former squire basses that I once owned for what your getting is a solid quality bass should be worth more than it's $69 price tag I think squire could learn a thing or to when it comes to quality control.
