My son loves is, it does give him some thing to do. My only complaint to the manufacturer would be to add some sort of protective filming for the back of the bolts so it doesn’t damage the door. I bought this for my son for Christmas just to give him something to do in his room that wasn’t a video game. He played with this basketball hoop for hours I would go check on him and he would be dripping sweat. I did have to put a washcloth behind it because it was scratching my door. It is probably the best thing I got him because he’s always up doing something. He is also very hard on this thing he will slam dunk and him and his friends will do that too so this thing is very sturdy and will last a long time. ... show more

Unfortunately, the spring for the hoop held for less than a minute before the hoop closed up. Now the spring only holds when it is pushed up rather than down. If play is not bothered, I may keep. Got this for my classroom to spice up state test prep. In the meantime we had Read Across America, and the high school basketball team showed up…. They were dunking and slamming into the basketball goal. This thing took a BEATDOWN. I fully expected to have to buy a new one. This thing didn’t break, bend, bust, or complain.
