We have always struggled with a batting tee placement, because you can't line up your feet relative to the plate and batter box. This hitting mat solves that problem! Note- - Anti-slip backing is for use in a gym or on a concrete floor. - Lightweight and easy to move... roll it up... and take it with you! - Nice surface for hitting.... it is artificial grass... but it is a nice hitting surface. - It solves the problem of using a plate in an gym. They often move around, and it is sometimes difficult to picture the batters box. - Remember the point of home plate points *away* from the field and towards the backstop.

The design of the mat is good. Home plate appears to be a separate, glued in piece so time will tell how it holds up. The bottom is not as textured/ grip material as I'd hoped. Overall the mat is more of a yoga-mat style material rather than a tough, stall mat type material.

I am really happy with this batting mat. We just redid our backyard with artificial turf and didn't want to put the super heavy, dirty previous mat back in place for fear it would damage the new turf. This mat is just the right size and didn't take 3 adults to move it like our old one. One adult can roll it up and transport it with the straps. It has enough weight that it almost lays flat after unrolling it. The size is still plenty big for our 50' cage. Bonus, the dog likes it too! It does have a bit of a smell coming out of the box, but airs out in a day. With the soft backing, it would be perfect for indoors as well. For under $200, it's a decent value. Our bigger, heavier, mat was over 2x the price and not necessary. This is great!

This mat is a good solid size. I use this outdoor and it is heavy enough not to blow away and we have had some wind here. It comes rolled up with some carry straps. It is still quite large this way, a thick heavy five foot roll. I wouldn't really consider it very portable. It's a quite a job to move it regularly, but you can position it where you want. One edge was very curled upon unrolling it, but after a day or two it is back to lying flat on the ground. It is not the thickest mat, but it is pretty good and should hold up for quite some time. It is nice to have a full size batter's box, both right and left sides, as we have both right and left handed hitters using it regularly here.

This PERFIT Baseball Batting Mat 10'x 5' Batting Mat is actually quite thick (not the fake grass part, but the backing of the mat). If you are looking for a mat that can work inside or outside. This is probably a good choice. This is not just a 5'x10' piece of artificial turf with a couple of lines and a home plate painted on it.

This batting mat is huge. It comes rolled up very nicely and is made with nice outdoor turf like material. Laying this on grass or even on the drive way sets up a nice full size home plate to use for batting and pitching. If you cannot get to a baseball diamond this is as good as it gets for an all in one system. Just be prepared for how large an item this is. It does roll up and store but its still very long and heavy. This is the perfect purchase for a baseball player that wants the feel of being on the diamond but at home in the backyard or indoors if you have a gym or fieldhouse.

I am actually using this in an outside area where there is a lot of dirt to cover it up and still be able to play the game. It is very thick, very large, and easy to use because it is not too heavy. One person can move it around, unroll it, and stake it down. The stakes are not as long enough as they should be in my opinion but they will work for now until I find something a little longer.
