The media could not be loaded. I bought this for my more humidity loving houseplants to stay in during the dry winter months. I do still need to add a small humidifier and fan but even without a humidifier it stay more humid than the ambient air in my house due to the plants in it. Right now I am happy that the greenhouse house is providing protection from the heater drying out my plants so much. The Barrina light is amazing, very bright but hasn’t scorched any of my plants just brought out beautiful colors so I bought some more Barrina lights. The only drawback is that ther is no bottom so u must put it on a waterproof surface or something under it. I did see a small greenhouse on Amazon that was completely enclosed and I really like that idea better. One last thing is I need to find a table to put it on because I just have it on a folding tray table and it’s about two inches too big for the table so I’m losing a little humidity that way but I don’t really want to put it on the floor. Overall a good little greenhouse but definitely plan for where you are going to set it up due to the depth/ size and the fact that it will probably leave the surface wet or damp depending on how humid you want to keep it. ... show more

I needed something this exact size for my baby nepenthes collection, and it was perfect. It definitely helps retain moister and humidity which is what I needed. Will probably end up buying another one

The small greenhouse itself is perfect for creating an indoor space for plants that is a bit protected from drafts and dry air. It isn't meant to stand up to outdoor conditions or determined pets or children. The frame is lightweight but sturdy, and the plastic sleeve is strong enough to be easy to work with. Just follow enclosed instructions that tell you to unzip before trying to slide onto the metal frame. The provided LED panel is bright and fits nearly on adjustable chains inside the greenhouse. Criticisms: - LED panel by itself cannot provide PPFD required by high demand vegetable seedlings across the entire 2ft square area. Even at maximum brightness level, the panel must be lowered to provide high intensity light, and this makes the light footprint much smaller. I had to buy a second light to help cover the entire greenhouse. - LED has a built-in timer with a max of 12 hours. If you need high intensity conditions like 14-16 hours a day, you are stuck turning on and off manually. There is no way to put it on an external timer because unit defaults to off when power is lost. ... show more

It's so cool! Very simple to assemble. This comes with good instructions (more pictures than words, but that's fine.) But even without, it just kinda clicks together like a wee little tent. Which it is. The tent material (EVA) is a little mysterious to me -- it feels a bit like a shower curtain? Not something that would stand up to high winds, but don't set it outside -- this is definitely an indoor grow tent. The lights seem a bit fragile because they are thin, but they were sturdy in practice and turned on without issue. Nice and bright! It doesn't come with a heat mat, but it would easily fit over one of standard size. That would create a VERY warm and humid environment for your plants, so be sure that's what they want. (And acclimate them carefully when you bring them back out!) My only caution is that it's actually bigger than I expected. (The dimensions are correct, I just hadn't put it together that it's basically 2 cubic feet! That's a lot!) This is a good thing as long as you have the right space for it. It will not, for example, fit on top of a bookshelf or a plant stand. I also want to be clear that although the lights look very purple in my photos, they are not oppressively purple in real life. I think this is definitely worth considering for those high-value, high-needs plants or for people like me trying to grow rainforest varieties in the arid southwest! ... show more

    • My plants love it but...
OK, this portable Barrina greenhouse is not the prettiest thing but boy are my plants are definitely responding positively to it! First things first, the setup is very easy as long as you have a gently hand when putting on the plastic cover and plug the light cords together properly. I was about to return the first one I got when I saw that I had forced the cords together improperly and my light would not come on. Now I have two of them because I corrected my mistake when I got the second one and decided to keep them both. I have hoya plants it them and the plants have been in one for about 2 weeks now. Some of them have sprouted new leaves (my H. Irina was doing nothing before she went in) and are definitely growing since I put them under the greenhouse. I do not like the step dimmer but for the price, we are lucky to get a dimmer at all. I like experimenting with the different light colors. My Hoyas like the red/white light setting. As long as you're not bothered by the wrinkled plastic too much I recommend them; no they do not look as aesthetic as a IKEA cabinet, but it does it job well. Hold enough humidity all day and night and provides plenty of light for your small to med size plants. If you are using 2" to 5" plant pots it can hold quite a few, while giving them a great start when propagating cuttings or rehabbing sick plants. I would get two more if I had room! Barrina need to make them a foot taller and give it a better dimmer switch and it would be perfect! Oh they are for tabletop or floor setup only they are not meant to be outside. So don't even think about putting this outside unless you enjoy seeing your stuff blow away. ... show more
