  • Great idea book!
Format: Paperback
My husband has been making noises about building a shed or a lean to. I thought I might help him along with a book! It has less of the bright, full page illustrations that some of the other books have, but it’s substantial and has some solid ideas and information.

  • Perfect for an architectural history buff

My husband LOVES this guide to everything a history buff wants to know about rural farmsteads

  • Be informed. Build well. Enjoy for years to come.
Format: Paperback
Good overall book on basic designs and how to bring it all together - location, structure, construction - to build your own small barn or shed. It's not a step-by-step guide, but one that gives you the foundational information necessary to get the job done yourself, or make sure that someone you hire is doing the job right. Good resource. ... show more

  • Great info on all types of barns
Format: Paperback
I loved this book. I got many ideas on what type of barn I wanted and it also gave a lot of history on each barn.

  • Enjoyable Reading
Format: Paperback
This is an excellent book for anyone who is interested in building, farming or stock raising of any kind, be it back yard or acreage. It is old-fashioned but the principles used are timeless and useful today.

  • Barns and Sheds Book Paperback
Format: Paperback
Really awesome book. Really enjoy the pictures of the buildings. Great ideas if you are lacking. Out dated on the price to build such things, but kind of neat to see what it would have cost back in the day.
