Fairly Medium Matte and Fair Matte from bareMinerals are the best color matches for my skin that I have ever come across. The original bM foundations aren't a match for me at all, but the Matte colors are perfect. I have cool (pink) undertones with a lot of freckles and dark hair that give me a warm/neutral color palette overall. Most cool foundations are too pink for me and all warm foundations are far too yellow. No one seems to make a neutral color for fair complexions. These two foundations have been my go-to's for a decade now. I use Fair in the Winter, Fairly Medium in the Summer, and blend the two during transitional seasons as my color changes. The finish is a soft natural-looking matte. The only thing I dislike about this product is that is does settle into fine lines. I use a filling silicone based primer and no, it doesn't help with that. I have taken to using a tinted moisturizer all over my face and then applying this powder foundation on top, but avoiding the areas where I have fine lines. I use a setting spray to finish. This works for me overall, though I do keep meaning to try their liquid foundations to see if they have carried over this great color match to another line that is more targeted to the age I am now. ... show more

I Love this foundation. I have extremely sensitive skin and eyes, I can only use powder foundation. I also have Rosacea. I used the Bare Minerals virtual shade selector and it was spot on! The closest match I have ever had. Usually foundation is too light or too yellow. This is perfect! The coverage is very good, and layerable. I've been using this loose powder matte foundation for years. I've never really liked liquid foundation and this is so easy to buff on. You just pour out a little at a time into the top of the container and "swirl, tap and buff". It's very buildable and you can get a really polished look in less than a minute. I'm 50 and I don't wear foundation often. When I do, I was using L’Oréal Paris True Match Mineral Loose Powder Foundation. Sometime since I last purchased it, it disappeared. Discontinued, I don't know. I've read a lot of reviews on this and had a general brand awareness so thought I'd give it a try. I kept the stiff brush from my L’Oréal and use that with this. I have been using this for probably 10 years now. I like it because as I have grown up I wanted some thing that looks more natural but still worked with my super oily skin. I no longer wanted to wear liquid foundations because they never match your skin and they look caked on. They have different versions of this that I am sure might make up for different things you were trying to do with your coverage. I like this one because you don’t even know I’m wearing make up but it could have slightly better coverage throughout the day. I do think it clogs your pores a little bit but as a whole I love it way more than a lot of store-bought products because it’s more natural on my face and it doesn’t cause significant acne like liquid foundation used to. I would recommend it but if you were looking for something to really cover your face like a liquid word then I would research some other versions of this with bareMinerals. I have a very oily tea zone and it makes it probably six hours before I could use a bit of dabbing. It will leave things orange that rub your face if you have oily skin. ... show more
