I love it because my daughter loves it. This was the big ticket Christmas item, and boy was it a huge hit (pun intended). It took a bit to put together, but that was super fun to do with my daughter. She was able to participate and we spent all day Christmas assembling it and playing house.The elevator works great, the garage manually goes up and down, and the window turns into a pool on the side of the garage. All in all this thing is pretty sweet, tons of things to do to occupy the mind. My daughter is actually using it with her Monster High dolls, and it's a perfect fit! Pros - *BIG!! *Elevator is pretty sweet, and my 5 year old can operate it with ease. *The few electronic pieces included are pretty neat, my dughter loves swapping out the various parts (grill, fan, sink, etc. ) *Sturdy enough to carry it around without pulling it apart Instructions included were very clear and made the assembly easy *It comes with all sorts of tiny little pieces like kitchen items, food and drink items, etc. There is a ton of this stuff! Cons - *Although it is sturdy, construction quality is relatively cheap, it's plastic and some pieces are pretty flimsy (I can foresee that Garage or Elevator breaking in the near future. *Garage can get stuck at times and I see it breaking soon with the repetitive force needed to get it to slide. *Stepping on the tiny milk carton hurts more than you'd think! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Very big house 4ft h x 3ft w, comes with lots of accessories, I’d recommend when u get to middle & top of house & garage door opener piece use super glue it comes apart easily when u move it, I also chose to cut ply wood & paint for a base using a jig saw & used self tapping screws to hold house to board & put a handle on side board to attach a rope to move it easier & put furniture mover sliders that screw on to the bottom of board to make it move easily, it does also come completely taken apart in a big box , but is pretty easy to put together ... show more

    • Don't wait until Christmas Eve to assemble this dollhouse!
I read the negative comments from the unhappy folks who gave this dollhouse a 1 star, so I was leery about ordering the Dreamhouse. On Black Friday I went to Toys R Us hoping to find a Dreamhouse that had been marked down considerably. I didn't hurry to fight the crowds on Black Friday so I went to Toys R Us in the early afternoon. Yes, they had a sale but it ended mid-morning and the price was jacked back up to $200. There were 2 boxes left and they looked well beaten with the photo images partially peeled off. I passed on those, not wanting to find a return that had simply been repackaged as many complained about with Target. Knowing that Amazon has a better return policy, I ordered a new Dreamhouse with the pasted on photos of what the Dream house should look like. The price was down to $150. There was an option that you could order a plain box with no markings. That seemed risky and suspicious to me. So, the Dreamhouse arrived on time. I opened it and it looked like all the parts were there. The bags of furniture & decorations were still sealed. This Dreamhouse is for my 2 grand-daughters. I began to put it together so that if there was something missing or wrong, I could return it to Amazon well before Christmas. This effort took me several evenings but I got it 85% complete. The rest I'll let the grand-daughters complete. I haven't found any major problems but there is one missing piece, I think. The instructions show a flat-screen TV assembly, but I couldn't find that particular piece. When I looked at the big photo on the shipping box, there was no flat screen TV but another image, perhaps a Barbie movie(?). Anyway, I am keeping this dollhouse and have hidden it until Christmas morning. ... show more

Its a lot to put together but its not terrible. The box says barbie dreamhouse with pictures so if its a gift mark as gift or buy wrapping if child lives with you. Elevator falls off from time to time but is easily popped back in place. Comes with tons of little accessories. Have to press down pretty hard to get the toilet to make flushing sound, requires more pressure than my 6 year old can manage but the rest of the attachements like fish tank bubble sound she can work on her own. Soooo, let me say that I loooove Barbie!!! I think I bought this more for myself than my daughter. But let me get to the best part. The packaging was great, but there were LOTS of small pieces. It was also super easy to assemble and even more fun to play with! Im horrible when it comes to shopping. I ordered this the week before Christmas, and I was okay with it arriving after dec 25th. However, my family and I were traveling to visit family, and would not be home to receive it once it arrived. So I called Amazon customer service and explained my situation. Im sooo mad I cant remember the gentleman's name but he was very helpful. He contacted UPS to stop the delivery, refunded my purchase to an Amazon gift card, and then suggested that I have the dreamhouse delivered to where we.were going. Brilliant!!! It.all worked out perfectly and was even delivered sooner than expected. My daughter was so happy that she got to play with her dreamhouse at her Nana's. Im so mad I cant remember his name because he definitely deserves a shoutout! ... show more
