I didn't get pictures before opening. One of the kids love barbies so I thought this might be a neat surprise to dip her in water and see who you have. The water process was simple. Fill the tube to the line and put the barbie in. The water turns a silver/gray color once she starts to turn. Our barbie surprise was the blonde barbie. She has blue legs and her bathing suit is part of her body. Her accessories were shoes, a skirt, and earrings. With cold water the pink in her hair got darker and more vibrant and her eye shadow appeared. On her thighs and in the creases where arms meet, some of the paint was harder to get off. We ended up taking a rag and wiping those off by hand since the directions say the paint could stain things. Other than that it went well. The whole process was probably 10 minutes at the most. Her hair is kind of a poofed curled mess, but our little one combs her hair often and loves it. ... show more

I got this barbie for my 5 year old as a birthday gift and she enjoyed it so much. She loved watching the barbie transform and is now enjoying playing with it everyday. She got the barbie with a flamingo Bathing suit and it is super cute! She is looking forward to bringing he barbie on out next beach trip. Confession: Mommy enjoyed this little experiment too lol The reviee mentions scent...not complaining but the one I purchased did not have a scent. Side note: if I get ice, & rub it on her hair it'll give her pink highlights! Super cool! ... show more

You open it, all the little packages have easy to tear tabs, but not barbie! She is trapped in a little bag I needed scissors to get through! Why? You get her out, and you then need to fill this little plastic tube with hot water, and then you shove barbie in. I have many issues with this. 1) the water is hot. It will get everywhere. Burns are possible. 2) Barbie does not stay in the water by herself and you have to hold her in there, all the while her hollow crevices are filling with water allowing air to escape and float to the surface. (As in you are forcibly holding this doll underwater as she fills with water) Then you get to pull barbie out and there are more issues. 1) the color is still on her, you need to repeat the process. 2) she is filled with water and there is no easy way to get it out 3) the color is very sticky and gross and it's everywhere Then you get to dress Barbie and pretend like all is fine, but it's not. This is one of the best color reveal Barbie in my opinion. I disliked the other color reveals because of the hair included factor; hair is already suppose to be on a Barbie's head not included within a package to be added. Bogus!!! I definitely enjoy the new aspect of prestyled hair which makes maintains the value of the doll because let's be honest once those girls gets their hand of a new beautiful head of hair it's all over.. the doll's hair is matted within a couple months. Prestyled instyle hair can maintained forever and these dolls are definitely indestructible. Love the included accessories and the marbled color before reveal is super pretty.
