This is indeed quite large, so bonus points for that, but the open/close function is a bit clunky in comparison to my other umbrellas that open and close very smoothly. It also doesn't fold up very neatly - big swaths of fabric sticking out everywhere. Not very "compact."

I got the light green, non-reversed 50-inch option because I wanted a big umbrella. It just seems like whenever I'm caught in the rain, I'm always with someone else who does not have an umbrella so I'm always having to share and I wanted something big enough to cover two people. This umbrella fits the bill for that - it's quite large and my husband and I could easily use it together, yet it folds up small enough to be able to fit in my bag. I also like that it has the reflective strip. When there's nasty weather, I would like to be as visible as possible to traffic that might be whizzing by me. So why is this four stars instead of five? It takes longer to close this than other umbrellas. Because of the way it closes, the corners don't lie neatly. You have to manually smooth out the corners and fold them down. This isn't a huge deal if you're not the particular type - if you don't fold them down it just gets really wrinkly the next time you use it. But another gripe is that it's a snap button on the strap. That means that you have to compress the umbrella precisely in order for the strap to go around and snap close. My other umbrellas had a Velcro closer so there's more wiggle room. It's precisely because of the snap closure that I feel like I have to fold down the umbrealla precisely in order to get it compact enough for the strap to go all the way around and reach the snap. Ugh... I feel like I am not explaining this problem right. Again, it's not a huge deal, but it does make this umbrella more difficult to manage and close, which can sometimes be a nuisance when you're in a hurry. Also, for some reason there were brown spots on the inside of my umbrella, almost like rust spots? Not sure why those are there. But otherwise, this is a good umbrella and I carry in around in my bag just so that the occasional rain shower doesn't catch me.

I needed a compact umbrella for my car since it does rain a lot here in the south. I wanted something that would pop open quickly and be large enough to cover me while I get in and out of my vehicle. I normally use a large golf umbrella but it takes up too much room in my car. This umbrella is pretty sturdy and the pop out feature is awesome. In addition, when you push the button again it folds down nicely, you simply have to push it back down to shorten the handle and you are good go. One thing to note is that if you do not push it down until you hear a louder click then it won't auto open again. The only critique I have of it is the first time I used it my thumb flipped the button that the strap buttons on to right off the umbrella. Fortunately I just pushed it back on but I'm not sure if that will stay or not. I guess time will tell. I like to use that strap when storing the umbrella so I hope it doesn't keep coming off. Otherwise this little umbrella is just what I was looking for. Get me to and from my car in a storm and not have to worry about opening and closing it slowly while I get soaked.

The umbrella arrived wrapped well & in good condition. The fabric & color (light blue) were beautiful. I like the reflective edging - especially if I end up having to be out in the rain after dark for some reason. The size is wonderful!!! There is enough room for 2 morbidly obese people to be under here without getting wet! (Not body shaming, that is the clinical term that each of our Doctors have used to diagnose our individual weight/height/body mass ratio). And the fastener is very sturdy. The downside of this sturdy fastener is that it is hard to open & close for my arthritic hands. In fact, it was hard for me to open & close the umbrella as well, & it was heavy for me. If I was my younger self, this would be no problem, but the me I am today needs something lighter & easier to open & close, with a velcro fastener. I do recommend this for people who can handle a heavier umbrella & do not have arthritis.

The construction of this umbrella is very robust. It opens easily and closes equally easily. The button has an excellent feel. The weight is appropriate. I had numerous opportunities to use the umbrella in the pouring rain and wind. When I'm walking in the rain, it saves me from getting wet, is portable, and is fun to look at. Excellent product quality and finish.

It's an umbrella, reverse close feature, and it works. The reflective edge lining is a nice touch and it makes you visible to cars during rain. I wish it was a tad bigger as it's just under 4ft wide, so barely enough for one person. You will have to fully reset the umbrella to the beginning state in order for it to open when you push the button. It is also possible to collapse the umbrella, but not have it in the original state so pushing the button does nothing. I also have found it to be a little finicky to get it to the fully reset position, so I have just been pressing the top of the umbrella into the ground and pushing down on it. One thing I am not a big fan of is there is no slack on the strap when you wrap the umbrella so you'll need to pull on it pretty tightly. Overall a decent umbrella with a cool reverse collapsing functionality, but I wish it was a little bit bigger.
