  • A Masterpiece of Mecha Combat
Platform For Display: PlayStation 4
I've been a fan of the Armored Core series for years, and "Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon" has absolutely blown me away! This game is everything I hoped for and more. The graphics are stunning on the PS4, with intricate mech designs and immersive environments that make every mission feel epic. The combat system is both challenging and rewarding, offering a perfect blend of strategy and fast-paced action that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The customization options for your mechs are incredible, allowing you to tailor your machine to fit your preferred playstyle perfectly. Whether you're going for a heavily armored tank or a nimble scout, the depth of customization ensures that no two mechs feel the same. The storyline is engaging and well-written, with twists and turns that keep you invested from start to finish. What truly sets this game apart, however, is the sheer satisfaction of mastering its mechanics. Every battle feels like a test of skill and reflexes, and there's nothing quite like the rush of pulling off a perfect maneuver in the heat of combat. "Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon" is a must-play for fans of mecha games and action titles alike. BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment has truly outdone themselves with this masterpiece. 5 stars, without a doubt! ... show more

  • Great game, very fun. Difficult.
Platform For Display: PlayStation 4
A very good game. Reminiscent of the old armored core games. It is very difficult to beat, but fun to play.

  • such an awesome game, verrry hard though
Platform For Display: PlayStation 4
love this game, i have nearly every from software game, this is nothing like souls-genre type game. it is verry hard, more aimed at mech modifications to find the right setup for bosses. the juggernaut will kick your but... often i have died probably 25 times on that one alone... but it's SO fun, even losing over and over ... show more

  • Challenging game, good for quick and fun action!
Platform For Display: PlayStation 4
It will take you a couple of tries big changes in your setup in order to beat it. I love that i'm able to play 1 Hr without loose the cadence or the topic of the game, just a couple of missions and shutdown the PS4/PS5 until my next free time/day.

  • The Rubicon is crossed! 🤖
Platform For Display: PlayStation 4
It could be easy to overlook the fact that the Souls-Borne, Elden Ring guys have been about more than that franchise! I didn’t know that From Software did the Armored Core Games till the 6th Entry Fires of Rubicon! But hey here we are! This 6th Game takes the Mech Action of it’s 5 Forebears and Cranks the Volume to 11! Crisp World Building and fluid Souls Borne ish Insane Action Gives the Armored Core Series a solid foundation! This is pretty much the best game in the series, at least till Armored Core 7 comes to life! ... show more

  • Best game I’ve played in a while
Platform For Display: PlayStation 4
I’m a long time fan of this franchise, when I say log time fan, I mean I’ve been playing them since the first release on PlayStation back in 1997. I feel in love with these games then and this title has completely revitalized my passion for the series. They’ve changed and adapted some things and the pace is much faster, but it also feels more fluid and the controls are much easier to grasp for beginners than the controls for the old games. This game will keep me entertained for quite some time and I sure hope they end up supporting this game with all sorts of DLCs. ... show more

  • Armored Core with a Sekiro flair
Platform For Display: PlayStation 4
Armored Core 6 has defintely taken some notes from other From software titles but I felt more Sekiro then any of the souls games. AC6 combat can get blazing fast with quick dodges, shield parries, and powerful boost dashes and becomes overwhelming very quickly. This unfortunately is also my only mark against AC6 as the difficulty in the first few missions is quite high and you do not have the build diversity through parts and weapons to ease into things. Ive had multiple instances of stunlock missles, a stray heavy shot doing massive amounts of damage from a place I could not see, etc. Combine this with very difficult bosses and you can see this is not a game for everyone. However, just like Sekiro, when the pieces start falling into place and you start to get into the zone AC6 becomes absolutely fantastic. There is a plethora of options for build diversity making even replaying older stages incredibly fun and while I usualy don't focus on graphics AC6 looks amazing and its art design is top notch. Go into AC6 with a souls/sekiro mindset of "defeat is just a chance to learn" and you will find a fulfilling mech experience that is challenging and rewarding. ... show more
