I'm really pleased with the mattress pad. I machine washed it with other clothes before using, but tumble dried on low separately because the waterproof back made it necessary to run through the spin cycle again since the water could not spin out through the waterproof backing (which I did not think of). But is worked and dried fine. I wondered if we would feel the backing, but it is soft on top and totally unnoticed that it is waterproof. Previously I always used 100% cotton mattress pads but wanted to try this out. The only concern is that the edging that goes around the mattress is a gauzy material that I wonder how long it will hold up. The top fits the mattress perfectly and stays in place even though the edging is oversized so it can fit any depth of mattress. Since the gauzy part is one piece with no seam, I don't have to pull it tight, the elastic just easily goes under it and perhaps this will make it last longer, even though it is so lightweight. Time will tell, but I am happy I got it.

I was worried when I opened this that it would be noisy but it’s not. The top is a quilted cooling padded fabric, but the underside has a kind of crinkly sound at first. This must be the waterproof part. It has a fabric feel, and thankfully does not make noise once the bed is made. I really like the deep pockets to keep this in place. We do not have a thick mattress so on a 9” mattress it goes way underneath. The elastic gatherings are great because they keep the pad stretched tight (even though we have a thinner mattress. It washed fine but did take an extra spin to get all the water drained- perhaps due to the waterproof quality. It’s been nice and cool under the sheets even though it’s been so hot outside at night. It’s a nice basic mattress cover with a smooth, quilted fabric top- just what I needed to refresh our mattress.

I've wanted to pick up one of these for a while. Our pets love playing on the bed, and often wet a bit when they get excited. It can take forever to dry when any liquid would soak into the mattress. The moment we opened the package, this felt like a quality product. We have a queen size, high quality mattress and this mattress pad fit like it was made for it! Although it states 'Mattress Pad,' it is more like a waterproof fitted sheet. The corners fit snuggly and the pad covered the entire mattress, down the sides and underneath, just enough to keep it in place. The real test came later, when the pets did what they usually did. Cleaning the spots went easier, using less cleaner than usual, and the spots were dry within fifteen minutes! Seriously, I couldn't be happier! Definitely five stars!

I was disappointed with this mattress cover, but it isn't a total loss. Here is what I think: The Problem: **It is NOT padded, despite what the title says. It is super thin, which is fine for a waterproof cover, but not great for adding to the comfort of the mattress. This should be labeled as a mattress protector, but not as a mattress pad. The Good Stuff: **It isn't very crinkly, so it doesn't make noise underneath the sheets. **Because it is thin, and not a true mattress pad, it folds up really easily to wash in the washing machine, because it isn't super bulky. ** It definitely protects the bed from water quite well, so it would be great for anybody who needs that. **It would work really well on a super deep mattress, because it has very deep pockets. Overall, this is fine for a mattress protector, but if you want padding, you're going to need something else.

I have to say, this mattress pad is everything it is advertised to be. I cannot verify that it’s waterproof but all of its other claims are true. It is indeed ultra soft, breathable, and noiseless. I don’t think I would mind too much if I had to lie directly on it. You can’t tell there’s a mattress pad on the bed while lying on it. I also love that it’s machine washable. My only complaint is that it isn’t tight enough. The sheet shifts around and tends to pop off the corners. It’s a problem for me but that’s not what this mattress pad claims to fix so I didn’t take any stars off. All in all, it’s a good mattress pad that lives up to its advertisement.

after replacing our mattress with an extra-thick memory foam mattress, the original cover would not fit as much as we stretched it out. this replacement fit nicely and has plenty of material if I had a thicker mattress and box spring. It feels plush and has a much thicker finish than its replacement. I did not test for waterproofness but you can tell it has a solid layer embedded but does not have that plasticky feel.
