First Impression: This is a decorative handmade bamboo chair which would look great on anyone's porch. It comes totally assembled - a big plus for those of us who are not carpenters or DIY fans. It literally shines from a nice coat of shellac and unfolds easily. That said, it's not the most comfortable chair for sitting around the barbecue or pool. Maybe a nice cushion would help. We've not really decided where to put it - since the garden is being redone. I'm thinking to add an old Amish cushion for added comfort. Bottom Line: I really like the looks & sturdiness of this folding chair. Let's see if we can increase the bottom comfort with a comfy cushion. ... show more

This comes 100% in one piece. No assembly required. ;) I slid this out, and was immediately impressed with the quality. I want another to put on my front porch with a little table in the middle. It folds easily so can be tucked away if desired. It is larger than I expected as well with plenty of "seat" space...and while it isn't the most comfortable (it's bamboo haha)...it still makes for a super sturdy chair. If that is an issue, a chair pad would be a great solution. Personally I love the aesthetic of this, and have it on my covered porch. LOVELY. Would also look beautiful with a plant on it by my door. ❤️ ... show more

I am not a huge fan of this chair. I was super excited to have a bamboo chair! I love bamboo stuff, especially the style. I was thinking this would be a good extra chair for my kitchen table… but not something that I am going to keep out on a regular basis. It is right now in storage for an in case I have more people than I can seat situation. It is comfortable enough I guess, but the seat part feels a little unsturdy. When I sit in it it creaks a lot and makes me nervous that I am going to fall through. It may be totally fine, but still doesn’t feel like it will withstand a lot of wear and seating. I am about 150 pounds and it squeaks, I would avoid someone over 200 seating in this. Style wise it is definitely suited for outdoors more than in. At my table it doesn’t look great. For a patio it would be perfect, which is how it is advertised. It looks like it should be in a patio at a teak restaurant. ... show more

    • Great looking chair, max weight is probably more like 230 pounds and not 330.

Out of the box the chair is ready to go, just unfold it. It looks really nice and cool, like its handmade, and the bamboo has a nice shiny coat of something on it, it's not just plain bamboo. The product description says it can hold 330lbs... I seriously doubt that, and also, I tested it out myself as a 260lb person and basically when I put my full weight on it, I can feel the legs spreading apart underneath me, and I'm pretty sure over time I'd destroy the thing. With that said, my brother tested it out, he's more like 220lbs, and he said it was nice and felt like it was supporting his weight fine. The issue or concern I have is in the metal pieces that connect the parts together, they don't seem extremely robust--they are metal but are a bit thin. I don't know for sure how much weight the chair can take and I don't want to risk breaking it. I AM sure that my sister or mom could sit on it, weighing in the range of 150lbs. Also, its bamboo, not memory foam... So, I wouldn't say it's a very 'comfortable' chair, like they mention twice in the description, and I've sat in many other folding chairs, mostly plastic, and some of those are definitely more comfortable. But this sure is the best-looking folding chair I've ever seen or used. For the confusion and doubt about how much weight it can hold, with the thin metal parts that hold it together, I gave it 4 Stars. ... show more

This fantastic chair easily held 200lbs. and the sitter was comfortable the whole time. No creaking when they changed positions. when I first took it out of the box it had a little shellac smell which went away within minutes and hasn't come back. Easy-peasy to fold up and down. I think we'll be using this chair a lot -I'm going to order another one as soon as I finish writing this! ... show more

Super-nice looking bamboo folding chair. Much nicer than your average folding chair. What I like: **High back is exceptionally comfortable for folding chair **Easily folds and unfolds **Very attractive details. The back, seat and double bamboo leg supports are visually appealing. The Varnish and bamboo wood are rich in color and depth. **Hinges open and close smoothly **Sturdy chair, small profile What could be better: **This chair has splinters and sharp staples under the seat. I actually stabbed one of my fingers on a staple and it drew blood. Not serious but ouch! The fit and finish should be better. I would advise wearing work gloves if you are setting up a whole bunch of these chairs. I haven't had this chair long enough to comment on durability. I think it is too pretty to leave outside. In fact, I'd hesitate to use it outside, especially if the legs were going to sit on grass or dirt. I'm using my chair as a small accessory chair in guest bedroom. Will also use it as an extra place at the dining room table when needed. It is sturdy yet small in profile. Easy to add one more guest at a dinner table with this pretty bamboo chair.
