This seems to be a high quality instrument. It is carefully made, beautifully finished and doesn't seem too fragile. It plays beautifully with a wide range--over two octaves--of notes. The tone is very nice and crisp, depending upon your level of expertise. It's a little awkward to finger, as all tubular flutes with no keys are. I love the sound it makes when the little film is put over the hole (making it a Dizi). It is not hard to put the film on, but might take some practice. Very nice sound once you apply the supplied membrane over the hole using the dampened glue block, also supplied. Plenty of videos on the internet explain how to do this. It adds that authentic responses to the tone.
