I researched artificial Christmas trees for quite a long time before deciding on this blue spruce balsam hill unlit Christmas tree. The tree is beautiful & seems to be very well made. I liked it so much that I bought my daughter's family one too. I like how the tree isn't a big triangle. It goes in & out all the way down like a real Christmas tree would do. I like how there is space in between the branches for ornaments to dangle. I also like how I can bend a branch a little bit to keep an ornament where I want it to stay. There is very little shedding with this tree too, but unfortunately I did lose 2 small pieces while fluffing the branches. The tree comes in a box & the bottom 2 sections are tied together, but when u release it the branches gently fall down & apart. The tree WILL take a lot of time for you to fluff though. I sat on a small children's chair to fluff the bottom section & didn't put the middle section on until I was done fluffing the bottom branches. The tree does turn around in its base so I just sat there on my lil chair & gently pulled it around as I worked. Since the middle section of the tree was higher, I used a kitchen chair. It took me about an hour & a half to fluff the whole tree & my back did hurt a little bit afterwards but I am 65 yrs old so old age may be a factor. I think since the tree was brand new & had never been opened before, that next year the branches prob wont take as long to fluff. The top of the tree branches are wired on & not hinged which I suspect is normal for artificial Christmas trees. I tried holding that part in my lap & fluffing the branches but eventually had to put it on the tree while standing on a small chair to finish it up (but I'm short at 5'4"). I don't like how the top of the tree looks. If you'll notice from the video, it's kind of like a big clump. I'll hafta wait & see if the tree I bought my daughters family does the same thing. My husband likes how easy the tree was to put into the base. You just put the bottom section in and the other layers are straight all the way up. With our old tree, he had to fight getting the tree up straight every year.

First, I must say that this is the most beautiful artificial tree we have ever owned. Purchased the 7.5 ft tree. I did not order the tree pre-lit. My experience is that when the lights fail it is a major pain to fix/remove/restring lights for the tree. Purchased 4 boxes of LED Constant-On lights and they were less (on sale) than the extra cost of the pre-lit tree. Energy saving and they look amazing. The tree arrived sooner than expected which was a surprise. Sturdy packaging and well sealed. Instructions are included AND it comes with a tree bag (ours was burgundy) and 2 pair of very nice silky gloves that made the "fluffing" go quickly. (2 sizes-small which fit my hands and a M/L for most men) I would suggest, as others have, wearing long sleeves while setting up the tree. The stand looks questionable at first because it is a simple design but when fully assembled the tree is solid. It comes with plastic caps that cover the 4 metal 'feet' (It would still go down if the cat decides to climb it which is why we will anchor it to the wall as we always have since experiencing a crashing tree in the middle of the night several years ago. đ) First section took 30 minutes to 'fluff' and was much easier than our previous tree. Several branches have 3 independent branches about halfway down the branch from the trunk. Pulling the 2 side branches out and away from the main branch will make a difference. (Think of a 'W'.) This Is what fills the gaps. 2nd section took 25 minutes and the top about the same, but I am short so I had to move the stool around. All in all, under 1.5 hour to get it up was less than expected. Photo #1 is the bottom section. Photo #2 is sections 1 & 2. Photo 3 is the tree simply put together without any detailing. Photo #4 is 300 LED lights and no detailing. I will add the 4th strand and work the lights into the tree. This tree does not have gaps when properly 'fluffed'. It looks just as beautiful as some of the trees I viewed in store that were twice the price. Really glad I made this choice. Thanks to all those who wrote very helpful reviews.

Superior quality. Worth every dime. Right out of box⌠set up in about 5 minutes. Packaged very well. Order arrived early! All tree parts labeled, easy to read and understand instructions. Came with two sets of âbranch glovesâ to use when I start to fluff the branches. Comes with a vinyl type storage bag that looks sturdy if you choose to use it. I am impressed with the sturdiness and superior quality of this tree. I got the unlit tree and will purchase my own LED lights. There is a reason this brand of tree is expensiveâŚquality cannot be matched. Even though it is not decorated yet.., it is a beautiful tree. Excellent value for the money.

I wanted a full tree for my wedding dinner as it was a couple weeks before Christmas. I read reviews and got mixed reactions of good and bad. I decided to give it a try as the price was still comparably reasonable to other trees of the same height that boasts them being full and lifelike. I took the gamble and bought it. I got the 7.5" unlit tree and it arrived on time. We opened it and began putting it together without reading the instructions (I'm too impatient for instructions, and figured if I needed a manual to put up a Christmas tree then it would not be worth it). It was really easy to put together, the tree came with 2 pairs of stretchy gloves so your fingers wouldn't get scratched during the fluffing process, I thought that was not needed but was awful kind to include. I'm a bit of a perfectionist and being a professional decorator I got to fluffing out every limb on that tree. It was easy. I wanted a full tree so didn't even realize if the fluffing process was too long as I would take as much time needed to get it just right. I don't recall it being over an hour to fluff the complete tree, but when it was done, I was pleaaaased! The tree was very full to where you could not see through it before applying the decorations, if others claimed it was otherwise, then I would suggest them to fluff the limbs properly. The tree also looked very lifelike and I was totally happy with my purchase. Now, I love to load up tons of decor on my tree and this tree stood to the weight. I also loved that I was able to spin the tree while it stood on its stand, it's almost like it was on a lazy Suzan carousel. I am truly pleased with the product and was happy I decided to purchase it, my tree looked beeeautiful! And so I do recommend others to buy it. I have not tried to fit the tree into the storage bag provided as it is still up, but even if it doesn't fit like others say, it is still a good buy and not a deal breaker for me. I shall be purchasing a couple more trees as I shall be donating decorated trees to some of my top clients, I know they will be pleased.

We got this to replace another "famous" brand that didn't last 5 years before lights started going out. We strung it along for one more year (even got a cheap set of lights to use on it last year). So we bit the bullet and got this one. It is a nice looking, surprisingly full tree that is VERY easy to assemble. The lights were bright. It didn't seem to take as long as some people have said to "fluff" it initially out of the box... maybe 20-30 mins with 2 people doing it. We didn't store it in the bag (just re-assembled it in the attic) so I can't speak to how it will survive year over year when it lives 11 months stored that way. The reason for one-less star is that the base didn't come with a screw thing to tighten the tree to the base. It wasn't that the screw itself was missing... it was that there wasn't even a hole for a screw to go in to the base. I emailed Balsam Hill, but didn't get a response. It seems sturdy enough, so I don't think it will be an issue, but it seems very strange that they would even have a base without a tightening hole (I could see it getting packed up with a missing screw). Overall, great value for what you get.

We purchased this Balsam Hill 6.5 Pre - Lit Classic Blue Spruce . To replace our 7 year old 7.5 Pre - Lit Blue Spruce which we purchased back then at Home Depot and it has alway worked flawlessly and has always appeared to look real. The reason for down sizing . It weighs to much for me to continue setting up yearly. I have to say thst we are very happy with our new purchase. This Balsam Hill 6.5 Spruce is truly a blessing itâs beautiful. It really feels and looks like a real tree. And itâs just what I was looking for. Lighter in weight. Plus it really looks like a Real Sprue tree . We love our new replacement and our Daughter â¤ď¸ ( our/Her) new replacement â¤ď¸ thank you Balsam Hill

I purchased this tree in November 2024, and it looked beautiful for Christmas 2024. When I set it up again in November 2025, the top third of the tree was noticeably dimmer and flickering. After completing all recommended troubleshooting, I identified the problem as a damaged strand plug (the female connector was faulty and would not seat properly). Because the tree was still within Balsam Hillâs 3-year warranty, I contacted Balsam Hill to request a replacement section. Despite providing my Amazon invoice showing the purchase was made through Balsam Hillâs Amazon storefront, I was toldâafter multiple âchat with sellerâ exchanges and a 1.5-hour phone callâthat they could not locate my order in their system and therefore could not help. This was a $450 tree that functioned properly for only one Christmas season. While an Amazon executive team member was kind enough to issue a partial credit (approximately one-third of the purchase price), I am still left with a partially lit tree and no way to replace the defective section. Given the price point and the lack of manufacturer support for Amazon purchases, I will not be purchasing from Balsam Hill again.

If you are comparing this tree and the cost to a tree you grab off the shelf at a big box store, you can't. I was extremely hesitant to spend this kind of $$ on an artificial tree but can justify it now that it's out of the box and assembled. The quality of construction is evident in the design of the tree simply looking at the wrapping holding the stems to the individual branches. The integrated post "plug" for the lights is also simple and cuts down on SOME of the wires. The 9'6" is actually nearly 10' with the top branch stretched out which was a nice surprise as I assumed it would be a stretch to make it meet the stated height. Nonetheless, the aesthetics of the tree - very pleasing. So many individual branches you can fill any gap but on the flip side it does take time. It's worth it, totally, but if you are looking for a tree you can toss up in 30 mins and it be "fluffed" - this isn't it. The only real critique other than the cost is the lighting - I went with the pre-lit tree and in my mind thought the wires would be more "hidden" than they actually are. Full integration of the wires into the center of each branch would be a great addition for future models and frankly for the cost, an enhancement I hope they make. Overall - quite pleased at the final outcome and support that you can in fact get the actual to quite closely resemble the marketing photos. It just takes a bit of time. Enjoy and Merry Christmas.
