WARNING & CAUTION: Beyond disappointing! At first I couldn’t believe the greatly discounted price for a Balsam Hill tree on Amazon versus the same purchased directly from Balsam Hill. There’s a reason - THEY ARE NOT THE SAME! We purchased a 6 1/2 foot Balsam Hill tree last year DIRECTLY from Balsam Hill, and this year we purchased this 7 1/2 foot tree from Amazon. The difference is incredible, and not in a good way!!! The tree we purchased directly from Balsam Hill has rubberized plastic needles that have a much fuller and realistic look, than the needles on this Amazon purchased tree. This tree has flimsy needles, some of which fall off as you attempt to “fluff” the branches. Additionally, the tree purchased directly from Balsam Hill has what they call “Balsam Hill Easy Plug” built into the tree making stringing lights on an “unlit” tree much easier. The old maxim “you get what you pay for” is absolutely true in this case. Balsam Hill should be ashamed attaching their name to this cheap looking tree. It can only damage their reputation for making a quality, realistic tree. ... show more

The tree is beautiful itself. However, I have had problems trying to get it to fluff out and look full like the picture. Maybe it’s just my fault, but I cannot get it to look full and fluffy like the picture and the lower branches hang down really low. I cannot get them to stay up Other than that. I like the tree it’s beautiful when lit and decorated. I have tried several times to call balsam Hill to see if they could offer me any suggestions, but the line is busy and I can’t hang on for 30 minutes just to ask a question But all in all I’m pretty much satisfied is just that I cannot get it to look as full as I wanted it to look. The quality is great. The lighting is beautiful. Value for the money? I think it’s a little bit off. Happy it was on sale but still a bit pricey for the size of the tree and the problems I’m having with it. ... show more
