  • Great smal ballpen hammer!
Perfect small ballpen hammer!

  • Nothing.
I like, that's all.

  • Comfortable, Heavy Duty for Size
I have smaller hands, and this hammer is comfortable for me to hold, unlike so many larger versions. I think it's balanced fairly well for it's compact size. The handle is smooth. Able to easily indent vintage copper wiring (salvaged from our 1930's house, and that stuff is HARD.) So it's a win for me. Recommend. ... show more

  • Short handle actually works well here
We use this hammer in the anticlastic raising work we do on copper, bronze, and brass and it works well. The shorter handle gives great control at the expense of overpowering the swing, so it's good for this kind of precision work.

  • Sometimes the right tool for the job is the smaller one...
I use a lot of jewelers, and gunsmiths tools even in my day to day working on electronics. Sometimes the smaller hammer is the correct one. This one is actually the next size up from my go-to, but is perfect for peening. The handle is pretty thick and fits well in the hand. The head is definitely well-affixed. The biggest mistake some folks will make with smaller tools is to work them harder than they were intended for. If you use them properly, they do exactly what you need them to, and will last in the process. ... show more

  • Not safe
The head of this hammer flew off on the first use and caused injury. The head is NOT secured to the handle with the typical wedge; it is glued to the handle. Very unsafe.

  • Not sure why I got this little hammer
This hammer is tiny and super cute. The quality looks good but I don't know what I'll be using it for. It's got some weight to it for such a small hammer so it's definitely usable for smashing some things. It's probably good for some small intricate work.

  • Cute mini-hammer
This is a cute small hammer, good for small projects or small(ish) hands. My 8-year-old loves tools for wood projects, hacking away at ice in the winter, and excavating those gem and dinosaur kits. This was a big hit for him (pun intended) to get a grown-up looking hammer finally. I did take 1 star off because I got another hammer from this manufacturer and the head popped off fairly quickly. This seems to be better made but I'm still extra cautious about him using it now. ... show more
