    • Sturdy, relative comfort at a low price

I was desperately in need of a new set of counter-height stools for my kitchen dining area, and when I saw these they seemed worth a try. I'm glad I did... I liked these so much that I immediately bought another pair. The chairs require assembly. The back and seat are preassembled, but the base is made up of three pieces. The legs are in two pieces that cross over each other at the seat and the foot rail is installed after. Other than the initial effort of holding the two leg pieces in the proper orientation to insert a screw into the chair base to hold them, the rest of the assembly was easy. The chairs are stable. You can adjust the front feet to make up for an uneven flooring (or uneven legs.) We've been using these for a few weeks and have now complaints. By the way, I'm nearly 300 pounds, and my weight is supported by the chair with no complaint or problem. It's impossible to speculate how well they'll hold up over time... I don't expect them to last forever, especially at this price point, but I suspect they'll hold up well for some time. Based upon my experiences so far, I would definitely order these again and have no problem recommending them to others. ... show more

    • Hate the pointy bottom of the legs

I've had these for several months now and they are comfortable and have held up with two kids. They're sturdy but I have vinyl flooring and they've made indentations in the flooring. The angle of the bottom of the rear legs makes it hard to put any type of padding to protect the floors since they're slanted and come to a point. Other than that they're worth the money. I love the bars at the bottom to hang your feet on. I'm 5'4 so it comes in handy. No issues with weight bearing, the most they've held was 230 lbs with no concern of falling or buckling under pressure. The legs were a bit of a pain to put together and the bars sometimes make a clicking sound but no other issues. The color is nice and material seems easy to clean. ... show more

First, these are NOT real wood. It’s some kind of hard plastic that are carved into a wood look. Really disappointed by that as the add said specifically it was real wood. Secondly, the 30 inch stools are actually 28 inches. 2 inches may not seem like much but it’s huge when you have a bar height counter and needed that 30 inches. You do need an electric screwdriver as there are no pre drilled holes for the footrest and I was missing a few parts. The seat is a pretty cream and seems comfortable but this is a product that is NOTHING like the ad said. Don’t waste your money. ... show more
