The wood is genuine and solid. The rack has many applications, whether it be to store items in the kitchen or potted plants or whatever you may imagine. This bakers rack was pretty nice and easy to put together. The instructions were good and came with everything that was needed. The only thing that was annoying was that there were 2 different size of allen key needed. Nothing wrong, just annoying. Seems pretty stable as well.

This was fairly easy to put together. I am kind of nervous about putting heavier items, like my KitchenAid mixer on the shelves. No real complaints, it's just your typical bamboo bakers rack, good for small space living.
