I had been using a battery powered back shaver for years and that device was showing its age. While I liked that shaver I was interested in trying something more budget friendly. I gave this shaver a try and I am glad I did. I find it easy to use and it does a great job. I will note that I started using this shaver after having used the battery powered model to shorten my back hair so I am not sure how it would be on an initial cut for a really hairy back. Now I use it every couple of weeks to keep my back hair under control. It is easy and does the job quickly.

It works really well, it does a great job shaving your back. I like that it folds up & comes with a suction cup hanger to store in the shower. I noticed it left some razor burn afterwards so I'd recommend using some shave gel & not dry shaving. It did leave some nicks the first time I used it so keep that in mind to make sure those areas aren't still bleeding before you put on a nice shirt. Other than that, its works great & shaves nicely.

Its expensive but man it works so well. There is a learning curve but once you kind of get that down you easily do it really quickly. The first time (depending how hairy you are lol) might be longer than the next other times. It is very nice, my back feels cooler as well in the warm heat. Again, it is very expensive. No way it should cost as much as it does, but it is worth it.

It works better than I thought it would. Just did a test run dry. It is awkward cause it’s hard to reach and navigate your back, but it seems a good option. I’ve duct taped a wooden back scratcher to a small electric trimmer so……haha. It’s also a closer shave than I thought it would’ve been. I really wish the handle would detach from itself where it pivots halfway, to be shorter and more agile where you don’t have to reach as far. Might try to mine or figure something out. The original model had bad reviews, and the 3.0 has 3 blades, so figured the 2.0 was a happy medium.

I have tried a bunch of back shavers and the Bakblade is, no pun intended, a cut above the rest. The blades are perfect width, very quick and easy to use, the shave is very very close and cleanup is relatively easy. The blades are plenty sharp for the job but not too sharp to cause any problems. I was able to do my whole back, arms, and chest in about 10 minutes including cleanup, and I am a pretty hairy dude. It also feels nice if you have dry skin. If you are someone who likes a cleanly shaved back or chest, this one is worth the money.

I bought this in 2018 and it finally broke to the point I could no longer use it. When I went to purchase a new one I saw the price and thought there was no way I spent that much on it in 2018. Yes, I understand inflation etc. But the going rate of inflation this item should cost around 35 dollars. I paid 27 dollars for it in 2018 and it currently sits at 65 dollars in 2025. Literally double the rate of inflation. In Oct 2022 the price went form 32 to 55 dollars overnight. Then in APR 2024 it went from 48 to 64. These are price increases that are predatory. I rated the item high as it worked well but in less than a few months the blades started to corrode, and in 1 year the flimsy end piece that retain the blades broke and I just dealt with it. A few months ago the blade slides from to the point of making the item useless. If your model is blades then make a carriage that will last forever. I have razors from the 1920s that still take a standard razor and work today. If your model is replace the main unit every few years then drop your price to a more reasonable level. This thing is plastic after all. Would I recommend this item, yes. Would I tell you to stay away from clones. No. Get your moneys worth and buy something much cheaper with decent reviews, especially considering the main component will fail eventually.

I have tried so many of these. This one really works. But be carful using it the first time. I got some good Knick's in my skin. But this thing is freaking amazing. I have a hairy back. It’s well worth the money I use the day. I got it and had to wait for the little Nic to go away then finished everything up and wow, highly highly highly recommend. Better than the Electric ones. They came with replacement blades. But these first ones will last me a long time. They say you get what you pay for. And it cost a lot and it is good.
